    Description

    Off grid ecolodge with cabins and camping near Lake Atitlan. Shared bathrooms and kitchen with a large yoga deck that overlooks the lake. We run completely on solar and have a well on site with our own water treatment systems. We are just starting out in 2023 and will be seeking volunteers for maintenance work and new projects. We have one paid staff, and their role is constructions and maintenance.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    The host is Korean-American and fluent in English, Korean, and Spanish. He has been living in Guatemala since 2013 and is open to language and cultural exchange with Workawayers. Workawayers will work closely with the host and the groundskeeper to develop and work on various projects related to food cultivation, construction, land management, and maintenance. Previous experience is welcomed but not necessary. We have a shared kitchen and often cook, eat, and clean together.
