  • Description

We are the largest private English language school in Tunja, Colombia (located about 2 hours north of Bogota). Our students range from very young children just starting to learn English to seasoned professionals wishing to brush up their English skills. One of our key teaching objectives is to have all of our students interact with teachers from other parts of the world - such as yourself - so that they can also learn about different cultures while learning English. If you have teaching experience, pedagogic background or english teaching certified (like TELF or CELTA certified), feel free to contact us.

You will be teaching basic, intermediate or advanced English classes that usually have a maximum of 14 students per class. We also provide individual private English lessons .

Depending upon your plans, we can provide you with two lifestyle options. The first involves you volunteering for a relatively short period of time, for us is better a minimum of two months, because this gives the change of a stronger link between teachers and students. If you decide to go this route, we will provide you with full accommodation and 3 meals per day for as long as you are volunteering with us. The normal teaching week is from Monday to Saturday morning. The schedulle will be set for you have at least two days off per week. Besides, to have a better experience, we offer Spanish classes by our local teachers one time per week. The volunteer can have a free subscription in a gym where can use machines, the pool and Rumba classes. A free spa session per month is also available.

The other options involves one year period where you can submit completely in Colombian culture and at the same time you can gain a high Spanish level and professional experience. More information, by inbox.

Tunja is located in the heart of the northern Andes, at an altitude of approximately 3,000 meters (9,000 feet), in the Colombian state of Boyacá. Boyacá was the first capital of the Colombian nation and ot is a medium-sized regional center that has many important historical sites, large universities, marvelous bakeries and lovely parks. Transportation around Boyacá is easy and cheap. Bogota is only 2 hours to the south by bus. From there, you can get to anywhere in Colombia (and South America).
