  • Description

A real and wonderful Aussie Outback Experience of a lifetime with a great family is waiting for you - great food, very good and clean accommodation, very organised, interesting environment and lots of different ways to help us...never boring with always lots happening. You won't be paid but no expenses either.
If you are enthusiastic, capable and mature with good 'hands on' skills and good English we would like to welcome you to share our lives and help us with our farmstay and homestead.
We have had lots of single girls with our family of 70 plus volunteers recommend an absolute minimum of one month but their preference was for much longer. It is a very safe and happy place as you will see from our volunteer feedback. Many of our volunteers return to visit us as their Aussie family and continue to recommend us and the outback experience with us to their friends. We have had absolutely amazing volunteers from France, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, USA, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Finland and we have very special 'family' all over the world and they will always have an Aussie Family!
We will be needing help mainly with our farmstay - helping with cleaning and making sure everything is 100% for our guests. Also helping with day to day chores including looking after our many friendly animals - an orphan joey, working sheep dogs and our house dogs as well as maintaining the organisation of the homestead and some help in the garden.
In exchange you will enjoy excellent accommodation, meals and friendship in exchange for helping us. Pool & tennis court set in beautiful gardens as well as pushbikes and lots of friendly animals including two orphan joeys. There is usually plenty of variety and life is never dull. On the farm we produce cotton, rice, fodder & Merino sheep.
Our station is easily accessible by train or plane to Griffith, NSW and we can collect volunteers from Griffith. Our property is situated on the edge of the Outback between Griffith & Hay in Western NSW.
20-25 hours per week with flexible hours and lots of free time.
We visit town once a week for shopping and appointments. There is a very good Internet and mobile phone signal via our booster but because of very limited download allowance, volunteers will need to bring their own Telstra device and mobile phone. Alternatively, the Internet can be accessed for free weekly at the Griffith Library when we go to town together every week.
We look forward to receiving your application!

Assist around farmstay, homestead & garden on large Aussie farm. Assorted tasks that require a person who has hands on skills and experience. Never boring or the same repetitive work every day. We will use your skills where possible as we want this to be a fun experience for you as well. Once we have our jobs done quickly and well the day is open for all sorts of opportunities. Must be able to communicate well in English.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

If you have a car you can get around. If not we go to our local city, Griffith, for the day once a week. At other times you can explore the farm. If we go somewhere for the day we usually try to take our volunteers with us. Pool, tennis court, pushbikes all for your use. There is always something happening on this farm with lots of interesting people coming and going - farmstay guests, friends, colleagues so you will never be bored.
