Description

Hello, I’m Beatriz. I left Spain when I was 17 to travel and explore the world. I’m now 24 years old and living in a student co-operative in Edinburgh. What I enjoy most about travelling is personal growth, finding inspiration, learning from people with different life philosophies, and experiencing new cultures and environments.
I am currently on a mission to gain experience in sustainable agriculture and permaculture, as well as learning how to run a farm. My dream is to one day create a community and live in a self-sufficient and sustainable way. Before that, I want to meet like-minded people and learn from their knowledge and experiences.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

-Worked for one month maintaining a garden in Italy through Workaway, gaining hands-on experience.

-Volunteer weekly at Lauriston Farm in Edinburgh, where I have learned more about gardening and growing vegetables in a sustainable way.

-Spent a year living on a farm in Iceland, gaining experience in farm work, mainly working with animals.

-Passionate about foraging (especially mushrooms), fermentation, nutrition, health, and photography, and always happy to share knowledge with anyone interested in these topics. Instagram accounts:

-Currently studying nutrition and able to help create healthy meal plans, as well as cook delicious and balanced meals.

-Will soon be a certified personal trainer and happy to lead sports or fitness classes.

-Experienced in communal living and open to diverse perspectives, having traveled and lived in different places since the age of 17.

-Currently part of a student cooperative in Edinburgh.

-Background in the hospitality industry and local supermarkets, where I developed strong adaptability and teamwork skills.

A bit about me: I’d say I’m a very active person, I love going for walks foraging, sports like running, calisthenics, and horse riding. I also have interest in Hellenistic philosophy, so if you ever find yourself having an existential crisis, I’m your go-to person for a chat hahaha!

In general, my way of life is closely tied to my values and principles. I have a deep respect for nature and want to contribute to its preservation, which is why I’m keen to do volunteer work in places that promote a more natural way of living.

I’m also really into foraging, holistic health, nutrition, fermentation and photography. I love learning and sharing ideas about these topics!
