Fue un gusto conocer a Damien. Siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar. Muy respetuoso y responsable. El se quedó cuidando mi casa por 7 días que yo tuve que viajar. Muchas gracias!!!

Cheers to my very first Workaway host! They’ve proved that Workaway is a legitimate site and a treasure trove for new experiences! Wojtek and Dorota made sure that I felt at home since I came here. They made sure that I had food to eat and met other needs that I had, such as seeing other parts of Poland (by car or train) and even visiting their children’s school and giving a talk there! They were honest and trustworthy. If you love children, come see them before Tomek, Ala and Ada grow up! We picked wild fruits, chopped some wood, made jam, set up a Christmas tree, had language and culture exchanges, cooked together, as well as had cold showers and many more! Even though it was only three weeks, I felt like part of their family, and I sincerely wish that this experience could be longer and I can meet them once more! It was such a wonderful experience to be able to share about Singapore with them and the people that met me through them. Working for them really doesn’t feel like work at times as it was fun and relaxing. The children really made me smile with their silly antics and playful gestures! I hope that I have not only made their winter a little warmer with my presence, but also, left a good impression in their hearts as they did for me. I wish them and their family all the best in their future endeavours! (I hope you all will try Pandan, Chilli Crab and durian in your lifetime!) P.S send Lola my regards, poor dog! :(

I had a wonderful house/pet-sitting experience. Dagmar and Robert are very friendly, hospitable. They communicated clearly and made me feel very welcome. The house is beautiful, well equipped, very clean and so, so cosy. The best thing about it are the three lovely cats. Feeding the cats and chickens was easy going and the cats were great companions during the six weeks I looked after the animals and the house. They even made sure I had the contact details of their lovely neighbours, which was really nice. If I had any questions or problems, I could reach Robert and Dagmar immediately and they always answered my questions or helped me if there was anything wrong. I had a wonderful time during my stay. Even though I was on my own, I didn't feel lonely, but well briefed and looked after. The surroundings are breathtaking. Thank you for the experience!

Lukas and Joanna excelled at everything that was asked of them. They are generous and kind. They exceeded their work hours to make sure their tasks were completed.

Ninon is kind and thoughtful. She fullfilled all tasks asked of her and brought her amazing smile and joyus personality along.

Alex and Barbora are two nice young girls, that ventured outside their comfort zones. When helping us with the chores of a self sustaining farm life. They helped calm some lambs before slaughter, took active part in the slaughter of 10 ducks but most impressively manded the vacuum packer and meatgrinder during the slaughter of our bullock. Pretty brave for a Vegetarian. They also incubated chicken , did garden work , split fire wood and learned how to plaster walls.They are both excellent cooks.

The work on the campo is mainly simple, straightforward labour with some fun interesting projects mixed in. Aniek was very flexible with working hours and made sure we were both happy with the work exchange. In the bad weather we found some other projects to do, and I was able to share some crochet tips for christmas ornament making:)) The campo has beautiful views, is near some great walks and just outside the lovely town of el campillo. In the month I spent here, I got to know the locals (despite the tricky andalucian spanish), and joined for some great parties. The community is very open and friendly, and even though there isnt much footfall of tourists they were very accepting of me. Had a wonderful stay and hope to keep coming back to this awesome project. Much love to the best host Aniek, nos vemos pronto!

Ardis was such a pleasant person to have around! They got involved in various tasks, always eager to help out and socialise. The work they do in Scotland is fascinating and it was wonderful to exchange knowledge. Come visit us again! :)

Willem stayed with me for thee weeks, mainly to help with 4 dogs and 2 cats. He was a pleasure to host and very helpful and versatile. Willem immediately established a rapport with the animals, he has a calm and reassuring presence which gives them confidence in him. He enjoyed the rural environment and was happy to go for long walks with the dogs. Willem was also very willing to hep with other jobs, for example he helped with some some exterior painting and got on and finished the job for me. He is very responsible and trustworthy and did a great job looking after everything for a few days while I was away. Willem is an excellent house guest, cooperative and tolerant and also self-sufficient when necessary. Willem is very easy to get on with and I hope I have the opportunity to host him again the future.

It has been a total bliss hosting Jasmin and Dana in our home! They are very kind Souls, mature beyond their age, skilful and talented (great cooks both) and eager to learn and experiment with new things! We have enjoyed their company, sense of humor and deep conversations about life! Don't miss the opportunity to host them, as they can be great fun and helping hands to be around! 🫠🦋

Weronika and Kamil have been our first Workawayers, we couldn't have dreamed of a better start! Such a lovely, caring couple, full of love and dedication for everything they touch! Our time with them has been very meaningful, joyful and creative. They are highly skilled gardeners! Also Weronika is the best cook.. Such a Joy and Honor to have spent time with you guys!! Gabriel has loved Kamil as he played with him a lot!!! Love you both 💓

Patricia is a girl with a very kind heart. She's tall, strong, and always calm. It seems she learned to love nature through her studies as a scientist. She radiates warm, loving energy to those around her. She even loves the various creatures living on our organic farm, including small insects like spiders. Patricia is a great swimmer, and she even saved a Canadian friend who fell into the small river near the farm because he couldn't swim. He called Patricia his lifesaver. Patricia has left us with many wonderful memories. And she has become part of our family. We're already excited to spend spring with Patricia again next year.

I really enjoyed having Alex around. He was hard-working and present even when we had bad weather. He was eager to help with whatever task, and I'd definitely invite him back for another visit. Thanks So much, Alex..

I had a wonderful time with Carolina, David, and their three sons, Lorenzo, Nicolas, and Miguel, for two and a half months. They were very nice and welcoming, and my stay was very comfortable. The house was really nice with a beautiful mountain view, pool, and trampoline. I had enough free time for myself every day until 4 pm before picking the kids up from school. After picking them up from school, I looked after the kids playing at the park or going to extracurricular activities. On the weekends, they always invited me to join them. I was able to explore Salamanca and visit Carolina's parents' house near Salamanca. They even got me a bicycle so that I can join them when they go cycling on the weekends. I really appreciated all the fun things I did with them. When I wanted to go to Madrid or travel to some other cities, they let me do whatever I wanted. Their son, Lorenzo, studies Japanese and knows Japanese very well. It was a nice experience to teach him my language and to learn Spanish from him. I really enjoyed my stay with them. Hope we can see each other again!

Peter was an outstanding volunteer and a real asset to our team. He was highly responsible, reliable, and handled all housekeeping tasks efficiently with great attention to detail. Peter was fully involved in daily operations, often staying extra hours when needed, and always showed a strong work ethic. He worked very well with both the team and guests, respected all rules and guidelines, and stood out as a kind, polite, and tactful person. I trusted him with training new volunteers and highly recommend him as a dependable team player with strong housekeeping and communication skills. We would be very happy to welcome him back to our team in the future.

What summarizes our experience best is: We would love to have Miguel back with us any time. Miguel was our first Workaway guest and stayed with us for almost one month during a rather chaotic time when we had just moved into the house. He was kind, very polite and considerate, asking about house rules and preferences. He was also particularly sweet to our baby :) Miguel’s regular tasks were: * cleaning and sterilizing baby bottles and supplies at least once a day every day * cooking delicious fresh meals every night * loading and unloading the dish washer taking out trash * cleaning our cat Muckel‘s litter box (due to the fact that we just moved and Miguel was yet "another stranger", Muckel didn’t get close to him, otherwise we’re sure Miguel would have taken good care of Muckel, too) * occasionally vacuuming the house Additionally, Miguel gave us a helping hand whenever needed, particularly with unplanned extra work in our old apartment prior to our final move out (inspection). Miguel was also very flexible in his (digital nomad) working hours and general schedule - he‘d always take great care that he could help us and then fit his free time around to visit different cities and many Christmas markets :) We really enjoyed eating his delicious meals in the evenings and hearing about his travel stories and we would have loved to spend more time with him (which was limited because us having the baby and so much to do). Sometimes we had some language barriers resulting in small misunderstandings (lots of leek soup :D) but we also tend to talk very fast (we told you to stop us, Miguel! :)). We would have loved to keep Miguel longer if he hadn’t already been "booked out" ;) Dear Miguel, we hope that we can host you again sometime! Until then we wish you great adventures and always safe travels.

Hey Sam and Mike! I know it's been a while, but thank you for having me! It was an overall very interesting experience. I got to learn a bit more about spiritual healing and prediction which I thought was super cool! The work mainly consisted of gardening and doing artwork, so pretty chill and fun. Sam was easy to contact via WhatsApp, and I got the opportunity to visit a local market with Mike. I could also easily walk or scooter to the closest town which allowed me to go on a few day trips! Thanks again for having me!
