Meg stayed with us during two weeks in october and really turned them into something very memorable and special! From the very first moment we met her it was a great pleasure to have her company in the house and during the workinghours. Meg is full of never ending positive energy. Very useful when it came to the quite physical work that had to be done in the garden. Digging up potatoes, trimming bushes, carrying and stacking fire wood, helping with the big fires we did in the garden. She also helped preparing some italian dishes among them a Tiramisu that was amazing! And inbetween she would put together fine playlists. Meg language skills are outstanding and she has already done a lot of exciting travels. We had lots of fun playing card games and Hitster in the evenings. Meg got along very well with the other three helpers that stayed with us and together with them took the chance to go for a long hike in the nearby area. While Meg was here she added everything that defines an excellent workaway experience! So inviting her is the best you can do!

Simon stayed at my place for 5 month and he took care of my house, garden and pets for 4 month while i was in europe. He was very responsible and caring, he always kept me informed what was happening. It was a pleasure to have him around, we had great conversations,, but also could be comfortable in silence.He helped me with organizing my garden and kept everything in orden while i was away. Iam very thankful for this experience 🙏🌸

We stayed with Debs and Keith for two weeks alongside 4 other WorkAwayers. We absolutely loved the hospitality and stories these two shared with us! They also have 8 cute/cuddly dogs that are so fun to hang out with, and we had access to a car which was really fun to explore the island with. We usually spent mornings working on painting or landscaping their property and then the afternoons would be at the beach. They also served us some delicious meals (both amazing cooks) and made us feel super at home. Highly suggest staying here for anyone looking for pristine beaches and great company!

Thank you to Lilly and Ivan for hosting me for just over a week in October, they were both very accommodating. I got to meet and stay with two other workawayers and Lilly and Ivan would make us nice meals after we had spent a few hours working. They live in a beautiful area in the countryside, we were based in their volunteer house which a few kilometers from their house. It is quite a remote spot so you do need a car to get around but it was also very peaceful. Thank you again for hosting me and all the best for the future!

Jelena has a good heart. She's honest and sincere. She's kind to animals and loves gardening. She also enjoys cleaning and tidying up. She's very independent, which we appreciate, and is important; she's someone who can manage well in life. Because of her independence, communication has sometimes been a challenge. She enjoys church and has good connections there. She also has good connections with a Christian volunteer organization. We wish her all the best and hope she leads a wonderful life and meets many like-minded people. Dear Jelena, thank you for your help and especially for who you are. All the best. Warm regards

Katharina was with us for about five weeks. We clicked perfectly from day one. She's incredibly kind, sociable, helpful, and nothing was too much for her. She has a real hands-on mentality. I had an amazing time here! I wasn't sure what to expect, with it being my first workaway, but my time here has certainly set the bar very high! The accommodation was comfortable with a strong Internet connection and other amenities such as musical instruments, campfire and trampoline. The family is very friendly and easy to get along with. Catherine is a kind, helpful, and considerate woman. She often helped me out with the meals for the family I cooked once a week. The work itself was fun and enjoyable. I really feel like I learned a lot about construction and DIY. Wouter is a very good and patient teacher. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I'd strongly recommend it to anyone!

I had a fantastic time staying with Jayn & Thomas — they are very welcoming, communicative, outgoing and active. I felt included in their family and community right away. The tasks were diverse and doable, and always balanced with after-work activities and outings. I enjoyed the "Lorax" potlucks, visiting the Saturday's farmers market and the daily "Kaffee&Kuchen" breaks, to mention only a few of the memories to keep. When you have the chance to do a workaway with them, do it!

Juliette es una persona con una energía muy chevere y contagiosa. Desde el primer momento que llegó, compartió su buena vibra con todos y se mostró siempre predispuesta a participar en cada actividad. Tiene una curiosidad genuina y un entusiasmo que se sienten en todo lo que hace. Durante su estancia construimos juntos una mesa desde cero, cocinamos comidas deliciosas —incluidas algunas de las mejores paltas que he probado en la selva— y trabajamos en el jardín. También compartimos momentos muy especiales, como nuestra visita al Parque Nacional Río Abiseo y algunas experiencias más espirituales que fueron realmente significativas. Juliette es una chica con una visión clara y equilibrada de la vida, con quien se puede tener conversaciones profundas e inspiradoras. Además, tiene una gran disposición para aprender cosas nuevas y disfrutar del proceso. En resumen, recomiendo totalmente a Juliette. Es una excelente compañera, alegre, curiosa y comprometida, que aporta siempre buena energía al lugar y a las personas que la rodean.

I spent two weeks at the foundation and these two weeks were extraordinary! Carl and the Dr are very welcoming and you will immediately feel at home. The dogs are adorable and work is very easy to hold back. I learned a lot about the life of street dogs but also how to best take care of them. Starting from this first mission was not easy. I met other wonderful volunteers with whom I shared very good moments. 😉 If I had to identify something, it is the activities around the foundation that are not numerous but if you like peace then go for it!

Thank you Captain, Kaka, Jai and Chikako for being so welcoming! My stay felt heartwarming. It was a magical stay in a beautiful place with incredible people:) 3 weeks may seem long but the time flew by so fast! Thanks for sharing about: organic farming, coocking, interesting story, the 7 rock game, … I recommend this farm 100%! You wont regret! A perfect place to reconnect with nature. Daniel turned up at the agreed time. He is a very pleasant young man, he took onboard all of the different jobs that he was asked to do with enthusiasm and good effort. It was obvious to us that a lot of the tasks we asked him to do were quite out of his range of experience but he took them on board and performed them to a good standard with a smile on his face. He was a good conversationalist and was pleasant to be around. He is always welcome to come back again.

We had the pleasure of Madlaina as a workaway in September/October 2025. Madlaina is very hardworking and smiling. She easily fits into our daily routine. Her good mood infected both teachers and students. She was a good role model for the students with her proper and easy approach to things. Thank you very much for your time with us!

We had the pleasure of Ibuki as a workaway in September/October 2025. Ibuki is a very welcoming person. She speaks fluent English and had a very easy time integrating into our culture. She is good at seeing where an extra hand is needed and contributes naturally. She is very smiling and listening, she interacted very well with our students. We thank you very much for your time with us!

I spend four weeks at Thorsten's place and I would never trade this time for anything. I was deeply welcomed since the first day and I felt very comfortable. Thorsten is such a genuine, attentive and funny host and it was so interesting to get to know his everyday life and his friends in Sweden. I could always ask for anything and he was willing to listen and help me. During my stay I gained a lot of experience in household and garden tasks. I felt like even though I was busy with the tasks I also got to know the area and neighborhood (stunning nature by the way). And if something doesn't work out very well he still supports you and we tried to find a solution. I had one house for myself but we usually ate together and it is such a cozy and inviting accommodation. He also took me to Denmark where I met many different and kind people. I am very thankful for this chance, so thank you very much!!

We had the pleasure of Adalis as a workaway in September 2025. She brings wonderful energy and many good ideas. She is not afraid to take the lead and start projects on her own. She facilitated both Zumba activities and a presentation about Venezuela for all students. She is an experienced workaway who has traveled a lot. Her personality is open and present. We thank her many times for her time with us.

My two weeks with Lisa and Michael were over too soon! They were wonderful hosts, and we had a lot of fun. They very graciously borrowed an upright bass for the time I was there, which was endlessly appreciated! It was so much fun to play music together, and just chat about life. I enjoyed getting to work outside in the garden, where we harvested the last of the grapes and prepared the garden beds for the winter, among other things. The system for tracking hours was very organized and appreciated as well. The region is beautiful, and when the weather was nice, I really enjoyed how easy it was to get out for hiking and biking trips. Thank you both for welcoming me with open arms!

My workaway experience with Kiki & Mo was great! They're very generous and welcoming persons. We've harvested olives, witch was very satisfying. I really loved the nature and the cats. We have cooked very tasty dishes and the cofee mashine was excellent. I loved that it's a place for naturism and that i could open my mind for new wider perspectives. We had a really wonderful time working with Sharvil. Though his time with us was short, he made a meaningful impact in every possible way. He was always ready to help whether it was teaching children Maths and Computer, assisting with daily tasks or even helping in the kitchen. We also watched movies and matches together, which made the time even more fun and memorable. His positive attitude and willingness to contribute truly stood out. We are grateful for his efforts and the time he spent with us. Wishing him all the very best for his future journey hope our paths cross again someday!

I had an absolutely lovely time in Mattsee! I was immediately and warmly welcomed into the family, and my 4 weeks here flew by. The work was reasonable and flexible, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to cook for everyone as much as I did! Mattsee is a beautiful location to be in - I went and did a lot of cold plunges in the lake as it got colder, and there are some nice, short walks/hikes in the area. Getting to and from Salzburg for some day trips was also easy - although I also had a lot of fun hanging out at home with Lukas, Sarah, and the kids. It was a joy to be a part of their daily life, and I was truly struck by how caring and generous they were.
