It was a wonderful experience meeting Tom ,he is a jolly good guy🤗 I am glad that he took out some time to meet us. We had a good chat, shared some stories and experiences about his city and road trip to Norway 🇳🇴

I stayed with Max, Roxana and Camila around a weak in Arequipa. They were excellent hosts and really nice. I felt very welcome in the family and in their house. They give you the feeling of home and trust. Max did give me a lot of visiting suggestions in Arequipa. In their apartment (its in a very safe area) you have your own room. They invited me a lot of times for lunch and even breakfast. They also invited me one day for family meeting with their both parents. The mother of Max cooked a delicious peruvian food. I can not explain how thankful i am. I can totally recommend to stay with this family, it will be an awesome stay for you, they are really nice people!! The german classes are only 2 hours a day, so its really not difficult. And the classes should be tought in a playful way, so i often played Uno with Camila to learn the colors and numbers together in german. Its really a nice kind of "job", and its really a fun time to spend time with their daughter teaching a foreign language. They are awesome people, i can totally recommend this family and workaway opportunity.

Thomas and Marie were excellent workaways and great company. They were self-motivated and did a lot of work some of which will last a long time and keep them in my thoughts. They took great care of my dogs walking them on the beach an hour plus each time twice a day. It was good they were able to Tire my dogs out to make them easier for me to handle. We all cook together they contribute some great dishes. I had the best pasta carbonara I've had in my life. LOL. We learn to do some baking together and I've finally gotten to make bread pretty decently as a result of Marie's help. I think they enjoyed their time here took advantage of the things we had drove a motorboat paddle to paddle boat tried surfing and enjoyed the beach quite a bit. They are welcome back anytime and I would recommend them 100% to anybody else who needs help and some good company.

My time here with Laura and Alex was the best it could be. They were excellent workers, self-motivated and coming up with great ideas. They were able to think of things that I would not have thought of. Their work here was excellent but their company was even better. They came for 12 days and I feel like I've known them a lot longer than that. They immediately became part of the family, loving my dogs and my dogs loving them back. Long walk sunrise sunset tiring my dogs out so I can handle them easier. I really feel like Laura and Alex enjoyed themselves here took advantage of some of the things that I have to offer in the beach has to offer and I will miss them dearly as will my dogs Rio, Mac,and Molly. And of course we can't forget our mascot Pepe the parrot. They were excellent Cooks always willing to cook something new and willing to try out some new things too. Excellent workers, but most important for me they were a pleasure to have around and I would welcome them back anytime. Recommend them 100% to any work away host that needs good work and good company.

Shay and Zan was the best workawayers we could have wished for. Not only they are incredibly competent helpers, they are also truly wonderful peoples and it was a real pleasure spending time with them! They worked very independent, super motivated, and always think ahead. So skillful and organized! They left the house so clean and tidy when they go. The kids had so much fun with them too! We wish them all the best for the winter season in Kirchberg. Any host would be lucky to has them!

Thoroughly enjoyed having Clara and Eric come and stay with us. They were very respectful and interesting to talk to. They both worked very hard and completed all the work that we want them to do whilst they stayed with us. I would definitely recommend taking these guys on and would like to host them again another time

All of you who love dogs and cats, you might just think you are in heaven here at the sanctuary. From the moment you walk into the shelter all the dogs and cats greet you like they know you already and smothered you with all their love and affection. All the different stories and characters of the animals are quite heart warming and sad at the same time. The daily walks with the dogs are blissful, exciting and we all love them. The small town is only 10 min walk and you can indulge in all the Greek tradition and sampling some of the best sweets I have ever eaten from the local bakery. Thank you Chris , for always looking after us volunteers and taking us to the Sunday markets.Take care and keep up the great work you are doing

I spent some wonderful days at Veronica’s home. Everyone here is special and knows how to make you feel at home from the very first moment. The children are very bright and funny (Lorenz is a FIFA champion!), Veronica is a person who radiates calm and serenity, and her parents are loving people who are always smiling. It’s lovely to talk with them, they have so many beautiful stories to tell. The place where they live is surrounded by nature, full of stunning wildlife. Seeing how they live within the community is very interesting; they are all fascinating people. It was a pleasure to meet you all,I truly felt at home. I will miss you a lot

Pasamos dos semanas geniales en casa de Pato y su familia. Nos recibieron muy bien, pudimos descubrir la cultura chilena y pasar muy buenos momentos aprendiendo más sobre las estrellas. El lugar es magnífico y muy tranquilo, con una inmersión total en este desierto semiárido. Pato explica muy bien las diferentes tareas de la misión y es muy flexible. Recomendamos mucho este Workaway! PS: traigan algunas colaciones, porque no hay nada cerca para hacer compras de último momento

I feel lucky to had the opportunity to live this beautiful experience. Living with David and Judi (and getting to know their family) was an experience I will never forget. They are two very patient people when it comes to explaining things, kind and extremely generous. Communication is very easy since they speak English and their Spanish is very clear if you want to learn the language. They truly care about sharing stories, explaining everything and making you feel genuinely involved in their life on the farm. Seeing how they treat their animals and the people around them fills your heart. The food is also delicious, they love cooking and make everything at home with love. I will miss all the animals on the farm and the beautiful sunsets that made every evening so special. Thank you, David, and thank you, Judi.

Nanna and Magnus are everything you would like in a workawayer and more. They are lovely and very positive people. They are wonderful company and hard workers. They are very independent in every way. They don’t need a lot of explaining and like to finish the job. They stayed with us for almost 2 weeks and we loved having them and spending time with them. We hope we will meet again.

La estancia de Gaia y Giacomo fue agradable estuvieron siempre dispuesto en apoyar en las distintas tareas de la casa tanto en el mantenimiento como en el taller en la elaboración de productos, nos compartieron su receta de pesto ROSSO y fue muy rico compartir con Gaia sobre su experiencia como nutriologa. Gracias por su capacidad de adaptación y su disposición a comunicar para hacer reajustes . Que su viaje sea de muchas aventuras y encuentros

Julia and Kacper are extremely competent, helpful workers. We were very satisfied with the time they spent with us. They had a good knowledge base and readily learned new tasks. They got along well with fellow staff members and our guests. We would certainly recommend them to any prospective employer.

Frédéric is a very polite, calm and helpful man . I enjoyed his company very much. Give him some work of and kind, he will finish it right away. He sees some work, that needs to be done, i don t have to tell him. He is interested in many things, Thank you Frédéric. It was a pleasure to spent some weeks with you, Gunnar

Stefano stayed for almost two and half months. He did a great job of volunteering at the house. He took care of Rio, always had the house clean. He welcomed guests. He was authentic in his manner and style. I strongly recommend Stefano of any future volunteer work. He was a gem of a person to be around.

I stayed for 10 weeks with Sofia and her family. I couldn't have been more grateful. Sofia welcomed me with open arms and an open heart. She welcome to me into her life and I was so lucky. They have a beautiful property with a farm that they are just starting up. I was fortunate to be there for the beginning and learned so much from Sofia. This will be a place that will forever remain in my heart. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to volunteer with Sofia.

My stay at Virginias home and the Farm community has been lovely! I was here for 2 months, arriving in the middle of October and leaving mid December. When I arrived it was peak fall foliage and oh so beautiful! Right away, Virginia was super accommodating and made me feel right at home. Virginia is an excellent, extremely dedicated host who goes out of her way to teach everything she knows and share this knowledge with her volunteers. The work was well varied, where we would do something different everyday besides the chicken chores! I never became bored with the work and she did a great job keeping things interesting. From working with her cows, fall clean up of the garden, weeding, stacking firewood, cleaning the house, making sourdough bread, kimchi, yogurt, paneer (on rainy days) and much more.She is also very flexible with scheduling the work days and assists with adventures on days off. One time she drove me to the Appalachian trailhead and picked me up later since I didn’t have a car. If you are someone who likes things super clean and tidy this might not be the place for you. The food situation was glorious! She is really great about having food well stocked all the time…fresh eggs from the chickens, fresh greens and veggies from the garden (seasonal), fresh raw milk from a local farm, fresh grass-fed beef from her cows, and for the rest; trying to source as many organic foods as she can afford from Whole Foods/Costco. Also Virginias daughter, Naiomi, lives on the other side of the house and is a genuinely kind, loving human with a big heart who welcomes you in too. While I was the there, I got to meet many other members of the community and attended various community gatherings. I even got to facilitate an ecstatic dance at the community center! I highly recommend Virginia as a host.

It was incredible to welcome Riccardo and Benedetta. The big, genuine smile that Riccardo always wears is truly a gift. Benedetta is sweet as can be — that’s just the little extra . They adapted to everything: to every task, every change, and were a tremendous help during these two weeks. How lucky we were to have had the chance to host them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️

A huge thank you to Jade and Margot for the time they spent with us. Thank you for all your help and for the delicious little dishes you prepared 🙂. And thank you for your amazing ability to adapt to life in the jungle… Mission accomplished: they have officially passed their “How to Tame a Tarantula” diploma .

Andrea and Elisabetta made me feel so comfortable as soon as we arrived. They are warm and chatty, and made me laugh a lot. The work was a nice learning curve and new experience for me, learning how to process old wood to make it useable again, and working on the land to prepare it for farming. Some tasks were understandably repetitive, but made a lot easier by the incredible landscape, which we had the chance to explore every day. Andrea and Elisabetta are clearly very in love with the area, which made it so much easier for me to feel invested in the project, and they love to share their knowledge and recommendations. We went to a local museum and theatre and restaurants with their help. I would love to go back and see their progress, and spend more time in their relaxing home. Highly recommend the experience :)
