Description

We believe the best way to truly understand and empathize with others is by forming genuine connections, and we are deeply fascinated by different cultures and ways of life. We are passionate about connecting with others, are hard workers, and love to learn! We have been together for four years now. We both recently graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA—Max majored in Finance, and Zoe majored in Political Science and Economics. In early 2026, we are taking a short career break/sabbatical to pursue this adventure in Australia and New Zealand. Zoe (23) is applying to law school with plans to attend in Fall 2026, and Quintan (24), who goes by his middle name Max, is currently working as a medical practice manager. Before settling into our next chapter, we hope to experience a new way of life, build meaningful relationships, and explore different parts of the world together.

As avid lovers of food, you can often find us cooking a meal together or exploring a foodie spot. We love all kinds of music, from rock, soul, and jazz, to house/edm, bluegrass, and many more genres. Aside from catching live music shows, we both play the guitar, and Zoe plays the piano. Zoe practices daily yoga, and Max is interested in expanding his yoga practice. We love the beach, but also love the mountains and the outdoors. We are easy-going and friendly by nature, and are open to exploring new things/ways of life different than our own. Our dream work-away experience would be to truly connect with our host (who matches how excited we are to be there!) and experience their daily life, learning more about where they live, how they live, and what we can contribute!

Relevant Experience:
Leading up to this experience, we have house sat on Trusted Housesitters to travel throughout 2025 caring for several beloved pets--dogs, cats, a ferret, and many fish! We always make sure to be mindful of another person's home, tidy up after ourselves, and treat a place as if it were our own home. We always had great feedback/reviews, and if you wish, we can provide our references from those experiences.
In 2022, Zoe participated in a work away experience in France with a lovely family at their vineyard/chateau. They taught how to bottle wine, the tourism/hospitality industry, the French language, and exchanged good food, music, wine, and company! Feel free to read the feedback review on the profile!

We are quick learners and willing to take on new challenges! We both have experience taking care of dogs, cats, and other animals from earlier in life and our house sitting experiences. We have many household, yard work, DIY, and chore skills. We are tidy and like a clean room and bathroom, and will always help out in cleaning up after meals. Zoe has previously worked in different nannying/babysitting jobs with children, and had an internship at Vanderbilt University working with children and special needs children at a preschool. Additionally, she learned skills in hospitality, viticulture/winemaking, tourism, household skills during her 2022 workaway in France. Max has specific knowledge experience with horses from growing up around them, and he has also volunteered with school aged children. Max loves playing and watching sports as well.

We both love being creative and staying active. Music is a big part of our lives—between us, we play guitar and piano, and we love discovering new sounds and seeing live music when we can. We enjoy cooking together and are enthusiastic, adventurous eaters who love trying new foods and restaurants. We like to stay active through workouts, runs, yoga, and spending time outdoors, whether that’s at the beach, in the mountains, or just exploring a new place on foot. We both value putting care into how we show up each day and how we treat others. Above all, we love connecting with people, spending time with friends and family, and learning from communities different from our own. We’re especially fond of animals—dogs and cats in particular, but we also have a soft spot for farm animals. We’re motivated by curiosity, openness, and a genuine desire to contribute wherever we are. Aside from learning another's way of life, we also hope to have some time to explore a host's region's unique aspects.
