  • Description

    Hey, I’m Will!

I’m about to embark on a solo adventure to Peru in the new year and hope to join a sustainable community project in the jungle. I hope to learn new skills of permaculture and bio construction, amongst other travellers and volunteers who share similar passion for sustainable living.

Above all I am an open, enthusiastic and hard working person. I hope to embrace whatever adventure I end up on through workaway, I’n confident that I will thrive in an unfamiliar situation as I am constantly searching for new, testing experiences.

I’ve grown up at festivals in the UK and have spent several seasons working for a tipi and yurt construction company. I thrive living outdoors and sharing routine with others.

I love to push myself physically, through my work but also climbing and bouldering, which tests my problem-solving and provides me with great mindfulness.

I flourish in challenging environments, utilising my work ethic and adaptive learning ability to grow and develop myself.

Music is a huge part of my life, through festivals and also the sound system I help operate in the UK. Hosting events provides a wonderful opportunity to great joy for others while sharing that which I am passionate about.

I love to express myself through dancing, creative projects, music and cooking, which I hope to develop and share with others on my trip.

Overall, I am looking for a workaway where I will contribute, learn new skills, live simply and be a part of a motivated community working towards a sustainable goal. If this sounds like your project, I hope we can work together!

I am also about to spend two week in Cyprus helping a friend work on and renovate a house there, where I am looking forward to picking up some new skills of construction and general DIY.

More details about my language interests
I have studied Spanish throughout my life, intermittently. I have a basic level of comprehension, which I wish to develop as much as possible throughout my time in Peru. I struggle with speaking due to a lack of practice, but I hope, by immersing myself in a remote workaway, with a community of people, to push my ability to be confident on my own in Spanish speaking areas.
