We are 2 french, settled in Finland since 2016. We have created our sled dog business since. Augustin and Laetitia have two young children. We have 36 primitive dogs, very affectionate dogs.
We live 300 km north of the polar circle in Finnish Lapland. We have a plot of 13 ha, with a pond. We live without running water. We have a well and our pond where we take our drinking water. We wash once a time by the hot water that each people prepare for themselves. We live in the woods, but we are 7 km from the city of Ivalo. We live in voluntary simplicity, as much as possible in harmony with nature. On our camp, we have two traditional yurts.
We like to work but also take time to enjoy every moment. Our dogs are our family for us and they are our priority.

By coming to us, you will discover Lapland and the beauty of its nature, its absolute silence. You will discover our primitive dogs and their characters, discover the relationships we have with them and the happiness of working with them. You will discover an atypical way of life, allowing you to make a break or refocus on yourself. We speak french, and english (although our english needs to be improved).
We are looking for help for the summer and fall. First of all to help us take care of our dogs (exits, brushing, care ...). Then this summer, we have a cottage to build, new niches, a hut to store dog food, and a cabin for firewood. Disassemble and reassemble the traditional yurts ...
When you come, you will be staying either in a traditional Mongolian yurt or in a cottage. We have beds, but you must bring your sleeping bags. In the yurt or cottage there is a wood stove, which will work depending on the temperatures. The bathroom is the sauna, which you take when you want, it's you to prepare your sauna: cut firewood, bring water.... . We do not have running water.the dwellings are typical Nordic dwellings, and allow to be close to nature. There is no TV. But we are good internet by your phone.
We are 7km from the city of Ivalo; we will let you have bikes available. In ivalo there are two supermarkets, a bank, a souvenir shop, a pharmacy, a cinema and 2 pubs. There is the museum of Inari 60 km from us, a museum explaining the nature of the Lapland and the culture of reindeer herders. There is also the lake inari, a jewel of lapland. South of our home, there is a ski resort with departures in the national parks, and a gold museum where you will be able to search for gold. Then it's the wild nature of Lapland
