At the moment i am visiting family on the Azores after three months of travelling in Brazil. From April/May I want to continue my journey of living and learning the life of permaculture

Description

Hello, my name is Vincent and travelling since November 2025. Currently I am visiting family on the Azores but before my journey I worked for 3 years as an physical therapist in the Netherlands. I am 30 years old, a family person who loves to be physical active(sports and dancing), do social activities with friends and family, be in contact with nature and an music enthousiast.

After working 3 years as an physical therapist I have quit my job from the first of October. I travelled three months in Brazil, did two workaway projects. The first was helping out with an NGO doing beach clean ups and raising awareness about sustainability on Ilha Grande. The second I stayed for 2 weeks at an amazing permaculture project where I helped you with construction and gardening tasks. My idea at the moment is to continue with joining a project with some surfing around, participate a meditation retreat and join a permaculture project more in a community style. I have some experience in gardening and construction. But I am very eager to learn all the ins and outs and willing to put in all the hard work that comes with it. On the other hand I hope I can contribute to the well being of a community with my knowledge and experience in working as an physical therapist

I am raised in two cultures, Dutch and Portugese. I lived my whole life in the Netherlands but my Dad is from the Azores and I visit my family in Portugal almost every year. In 2013 I participated in an exchange program to study one year at an High School in Goiania Brasil. My desire was so big to go back that in 2017 I visited Brazil again for my first workaway adventure, and I stayed for one month on an organic cacao farm in Bahia. This was an incredible experience and ever since it is my dream to live on a farm and learn the skill of permaculture.


I speak fluently Dutch, English and Portuguese, with some Spanish (intermediate) and French (beginner). During my studies I have worked for several cafes and restaurants so I have also have a lot of experience with hospitality and working with guests.

Hopefully we can get to know each other better if there is interest from both sides!
