I stayed here for two weeks and had a fantastic time. Ian and Johane are incredible kind and knowledgeable people. Despite staying during the low season, there was still varied and interesting work, I especially enjoyed learning about the mill and off-grid electrical generation. The place is incredibly peaceful, a collection of beautiful and

Where to begin haha ! I stayed here for 3 weeks in July 2023. It was my first Workaway experience ever, I was so stressed, but when I was welcomed by Nicole, all of my negative thoughts was gone. Even with the main road nearby, I felt surrounded by nature, trees, peace. My first week was during a meditative retreat, as I helped to cook and taking

I met wonderful people that became friends and we saw each other many times even after my workaway experience. Lyla, Ian's daughter, is very adorable and easy to be with. We went picking bakeapples further on the land, which is one of my greatest experience in Newfoundland. If you hesitate about going, just try and you'll see how wonderful this place is, and its people. :) <3 Thank you for everything, merci Johanne pour nos précieuses jasettes ! ;)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We had a wonderful time. It was an amazing experience to spend so much time in nature and helping with all the wood works. Our hosts were absolutely lovely and we became friends during our 2 week stay. Would definitely come back. Thanks again for the amazing time we had. 🥰

I have had a most marvellous time at the place. Never indulged in a spiritual atmosphere like that before and I it inspired me to open up more in life. Ian, Nicole, Ecca, and Meranda are grounded, funny, well-spirited, loving and hard working people who genuinely appreciate community, a spiritual and creative expression, the nature surrounding

We got in touch at the very last minute and were super grateful to be taken in so quickly and graciously by Ian. We spent 10 days here in which we worked on various projects around the property including splitting firewood, clearing out an old storage tent, constructing a wall for a new building, moving logs for future building projects and some

The food was wonderful and a good healthy and varied change from our diet on the road. We slept in the bunkhouse and were responsible for keeping our own fire going to stay warm but with previous experience this was no hardship. I can't thank Ian enough for our stay, for teaching and guiding and trusting us with his home and for all his help with our incredibly flat tire! All in all, would recommend to anyone looking for a calming tree change in Newfoundland. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

This is a magical place and I felt comfortable from day one. I gained a lot of skills like planting , cutting and messuring wood, collecting herbs,.. I also joined a yoga class, a hindi-chant and I learned some new recipes… All in all a really great, varied experience. Although the work was sometimes quite exhausting, especially with all the

Also Ian, Jing, Meranda,.. made me have a nice stay. The food was always fresh and delicious and the cabbins are really cozy. The place is all surrounded by nature, and there is even a small waterfall close by. I'm soo glad I ended up at this beautiful spot, and I am thinking about returning. The time and the people have thaught me so much, I am very thankfull !
A good place if you enjoy working outside all day and if you're spontaneus and you like to help at diverse nature projects. If you are still not sure, whether you should go there, feel free to text me :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I learned a great deal during my one month stay here, more than I could possibly explain in this short blurb. Ian and the whole lot of wonderful folks that I was able to meet are among the most generous, understanding, patient, and good-spirited people that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The property is beyond gorgeous, and I was able to
