Hello there .... :-)

My name is Günter. I live in the southwest of Germany. It's only a short way to France, the Black Forest or the Kaiserstuhl (wine-growing region). The nearest big city is Freiburg.

I used to work as a real estate specialist at Deutsche Post / DHL. I have accepted my company's offer of early retirement. I now work part-time in a local property management company ..... but we have an agreement that I can take longer breaks... and I would like to use this time off to travel

In the past ( long time ago :-) ) I used to travel the world as a backpacker very often and as far as possible. This time had a big impact on me.
I would say that I am a cosmopolitan type. I have many interests and even at a somewhat older age I am very curious and willing to learn and try out new things.

I have a good sense of humor and like to laugh. However, my friends mean is quite sarcastic.

I am quite sporty and love the outdoors. I am a sports lover and love to watch sports. ... Preferably soccer, of course.

My motovation for workaway ?
to meet new people / to make new friends / to help / look at life
have fun / very keen on non-office work
..... yes, I am motivated ;-)

I'm not a trained craftsman, but I've often gives friends a Hand with renovations job. However, I no longer climb on roofs and avoid high scaffolding if possible.
I like gardening and do all kinds of work around the house. However, I have respect for chainsaws and tree felling work.

Basically I can do any job and if you explain / show me.

Work a Way Vollunteer Experience:
2024 Ireland ( two month )
indoor painting, helped lay parquet flooring, gardening & arround the House

2025 Greece, Milo ( three weeks )
I painted ( outdoor ), helped arround the house, gardening

2025/26 Portugal ( three month )
worked on a pharmaculture agriculture, Kiwi harvest, work in a vineyard

I'm not afraid of physical work.

I claim to be well organized, tidy and can work independently.

Some Host asked me to cook food, but sorry ( ! ) Im poor in this job.
