I am a high school student from the Czech Republic. My biggest passions have always been travelling and learning new things, which I believe pairs perfectly with the workaway message. Similarly, sports have also had a special place in my heart, and I love to avoid being sedentary. I am especially intrigued by the German-speaking countries as I enjoy learning the language and would love to stay there. I like being around people, but also believe that everyone should sometimes have their time-off. Looking forward to meeting you all!

I have always wanted to find more ways to connect with people. The fact that you know someone's native language makes it not only easier to connect with them at a more personal level, but it also creates a deeper connection you would never have otherwise. That said, I am currently focused on becoming fluent in German, but would also love to get to know other languages. You can never get bored of someone reacting positively when talking in their language.

I know my way around the garden as we own a small house in the countryside, where we cultivate our own fruit and vegetables.
I have regularly attended summer camps and have helped to create the program.
I am knowledgeable in Excel, Word, and other computer programs - I like to keep my things organized. Speaking of programs, I designed a site called Beyond Basalt, and I update it to make it the best possible.
Languages: Czech (Mother tongue), English (C2 level), German (C1 level). - would love to improve my German.
I am also keen on learning new things in general - you should never stay bored for a long time :D.

What else ...

Other than the omnipresent school work, I love sports. In the past, I played tennis for almost a decade. - I still remember how to hold a racket :). In the summer seasons, I enjoy climbing and bouldering, as well as diving and trail riding. During winter, I love going to the Alps to snowboard. I used to play the piano, which I don't anymore. Besides that, I am interested in History and Geography, and as previously mentioned, in travelling as a whole. I also like to play strategic board games, such as chess.
