Hello :) I'm Tom, from rainy Manchester UK. I'm 27 years old and I'd describe myself as an easy-going, thoughtful, and calm person who loves trying new things and saying yes to everything! I enjoy socialising, meeting new people and spending time with others, while also cherishing my time alone to recharge. I'm organised, tidy, and reliable, and highly respectful of others’ personal space.

I enjoy making music with friends, reading, taking photographs, journalling, swimming, and playing chess really badly.

My work and volunteer experience is a mix so there's hopefully something I can bring to the table :) I studied Chemistry and my job is in government/social sciences research, but I've also worked in a music venue for three years, bartended, worked in clothing stores, and in a fast-food restaurant. From my previous Workaways I also have experience in housekeeping, reception work, social media, and teaching English.

From previous Workaways I have some experience in housekeeping, reception work, basic cooking and gardening, social media, and teaching English. My studies were in Chemistry and I work in research, so I can also help with any boring admin tasks/anything maths-y! Besides this, I'm really keen to learn new skills. I'll give anything a go even if I'm terrible at it!

Tom was a very nice man, and he was very friendly as a teacher and teammate. He is very knowledgeable and a true intellectual. He was never late for class, and he was really dedicated. I spent three weeks volunteering at this place during July and had an absolutely fantastic time.

Rajiv is a great host - his communication before my arrival and during my stay was always clear, and you can tell that he truly cares about the experience of the volunteers and guests. He is also frustratingly good at chess!
