Hello there! I'm Thaïs, a 20-year-old from France currently on an exciting journey of self-discovery. Originally a psychology student in the Netherlands, I've decided to pause my studies to explore human behavior from different perspectives. Recently, I've embraced my faith as a follower of Jesus Christ and plan to pursue academic studies in Bible studies in England starting September 2024.

My passion for understanding the world and connecting with people has led me to WorkAway. With newfound free time, I'm eager to travel, work, and immerse myself in diverse cultures.

In my recent experiences, I've worn many hats. For six months, I cared for two young children as a babysitter, honing my patience, listening skills, and playful nature. We enjoyed outings to museums, playgrounds, and baking sessions. Additionally, I spent five months working in an ice cream shop, where I served customers and improved my Dutch language skills. This role taught me the importance of warmth, attentiveness, and efficiency in customer service.

During the challenging times of 2020, I supported my mother in her bio food store in France, learning to navigate busy days with grace and composure.

Beyond work, I find joy in serving others and expanding my knowledge. I'm an avid artist, enjoying drawing and crochet, and sports enthusiast with a love for basketball, horse riding, and volleyball. I'm also intrigued by experiences involving animals and eager to learn from them.

In WorkAway, I'm seeking meaningful cultural exchanges, opportunities to learn new skills, and the chance to explore new places.

Describing myself as energetic, enthusiastic, talkative, organized, and loving, I bring a straightforward, direct, and curious approach to life. I'm excited to embark on this journey and look forward to the adventures ahead!

I grew up in the vibrant culture of the south of France before transitioning to an international high school in 2021, where I successfully obtained my International Baccalaureate (IB) in 2022. This experience not only broadened my worldview but also honed my adaptability and ability to thrive in diverse environments.

In September 2022, I embarked on a new chapter in Leiden, Netherlands, pursuing my passion for psychology. Alongside my studies, I've embraced various roles to support myself and gain practical skills.

My time as a babysitter equipped me with patience, active listening skills, and a nurturing demeanor, essential qualities for caring for children and building strong interpersonal relationships. Additionally, my experience as a waitress in an ice cream shop enhanced my communication skills, taught me the importance of attention to detail, and instilled in me a strong work ethic.

These diverse experiences have not only shaped me professionally but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for teamwork, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. I am eager to leverage these skills in my WorkAway adventures, contributing positively to any environment I find myself in.
