Description
We are Laura & Theo. We both got WHV (subclass 417) and will be in Australia from March 2026 to February 2027. Then we plan to visit New Zealand, with the intention of doing the Te Araroa trek (at least some parts of it but ideally the whole trek). We are easy-going, curious and spontaneous people. We both enjoy meeting new people, learning new things, reading novels and graphic novels, playing boardgames, hiking, surfing and good food.
We are 35 and 36 and took the chance to get the WHV before being too old for it! We travelled before without resorting to workaway but for this time it sounded like a good idea! -

Laura used to work in construction as a secondary school renovation projects manager. Theo used to be a seasonal worker in varied sectors such as agriculture, tourism and culture. We can help with construction works, we would also love helping with organic farming and keep learning more about it. Laura knows about vegetable gardening and edible plants, she is a rather gifted watercolour painter, a good swimmer, a great people linker and enjoys fine cooking. Lately, she started learning sewing and has already made really cute simple pieces. Theo knows about woodworking, he is interested in DIY and is overall a quite handy man.
