Hello!

I am a 26 year old graduate student studying Somatic Psychology in San Francisco, California. I study the connection between the mind and body, and plan to be a psychologist when I finish my Master's program in a year. I am passionate about this field of study and love anything mind-body related, including yoga, dance, music, exercise, gardening, spending time outdoors, etc. I teach mindfulness to school children in my free time.

I grew up in the wine region of California and have held many jobs in the wine industry, including marketing/business, sales, hospitality, and cellar hand. I love the culture of the wine industry and am always interested in learning more.

Prior to this, I have lived in Spain for a year in college and traveled extensively through Central and South America. I speak Spanish pretty well and enjoyed the opportunity for cultural exchanges, living with families in both Madrid and Costa Rica. These were some of the most enriching experiences of my life, and this is one of the main reasons I'm drawn to Workaway--to get to know a family and their way of life, their culture, traditions, and practice languages.

I also have experience working in NGOs, yoga, restaurants, and food preparation. I absolutely love to cook and feel so fulfilled by growing, tending, and cooking food--the full cycle of life. In my free time, I like to read, hike, camp, swim, play with animals. I have always grown up around animals and they bring me so much joy and cuddles!

In terms of the work, I am most excited about gardening/farming, animal care, childcare, and hospitality work. While it is important to me to enjoy the work, what matters more is the community of people and the atmosphere of the place. I am looking for somewhere to build connections and truly care about the people and the place we call home.
