Description
Hi, my name is Sinead and I am an empathetic and creative individual who is curious about doing hands on work in communities around the world. I developed a strong work ethic from my mom who is a single mother and I've learned to put my best foot forward in anything I do. I'm passionate about art and social justice and I love to run and play guitar. I joined Workaway because I'm eager to learn about the world and to foster relationships with people outside of my home country. I'm here to expand my horizons and do so with a hard working and playful attitude.
I love to learn!

More details about your skills
I've spent around eight years in the service industry waiting tables, washing dishes, and working as a barista. As restaurants are typically fast paced environments, I have learned to adapt to quickly changing environments, chaotic situations, and conflict deescalation. Additionally, I have worked with kids in various capacities: babysitting, teaching groups of kids skateboarding, and summer camp counseling.
In the professional realm, I have been involved with promoting higher education in prisons. Working closely as an assistant to professors, editing a prison art magazine as well as planning large conferences for academia. This work is often tedious and requires diligent commutation skills to effectively complete projects and create events.
While in school, I was on the board of directors for the largest collegiate ski club in the U.S.. I have organized events, managed sponsor relations, and created merchandise such as, t-shirts, posters, and logos. This experience shaped my ability to have professional disagreements, problem solve in stressful situations, and foster close relationships with the community.
I am a deep thinker and strong at forming genuine connections with those around me through my curious nature.
