Hello! I'm Rowan. I am interested in working for charity and NGO organisations as well as nature and culture exchanges!

My life is filled by many passions. I'm inspired by social justice work, which has fuelled my work with both the LGBT and disability communities. My purpose in life is to connect with people to make positive change, promote diversity and learn from experiences.

In addition, I am passionate about plants and supporting the land in environmentally friendly ways. For many years, my biggest hobby has been hiking, camping and being out in nature!

My General skills:

My Educational skills :
- I have a first-class degree in Criminology with a focus on supporting victims of crime. I am passionate about preventing hate crime and discrimination of all kinds, especially LGBT and disability rights!
-I also have Level 3 in Health and Social Care which included 100 hours volunteering for elderly dementia patients. This developed skills of empathy, hard work and punctuality :)

My work skills:
-School education and teaching skills, specifically those with disabilities. I have worked at many disability schools, both primary and secondary, which sparked my passion for working with individuals with learning difficulties and promoting their rights. I also supported students during their exam period.
- Caring for plants and horticulture. I spent many years working in a garden centre looking after plants. I also have a general love for the outdoors and identifying all kinds of plants, those which are edible too!

Other skills
- Art and painting murals. I have painted murals on a large wall before and would love to add to this skill.
- photography and using social media for promotion. I have good knowledge on general photography and IT and would be able to help you make updates to websites and social media pages

Travel Experience: I have travelled through Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands, Madeira, Italy, South Korea, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Belgium, Malaysia and Finland. These trips have been a mix of backpacking and staying in hostels and trips with family.
