  • Description

    Heyoooo everybodyyyyyyy,
I am an American traveler currently studying abroad in the beautiful city of Valencia, Spain. I started doing workaways 3 years ago, when I was living in Japan and solo backpacking in Asia. The world of workaways has led me to pick up so many skills, see incredible places, and connection with some of the most unique and generous people I have ever met. While I am based in Valencia, I hope to travel throughout Spain and into the rest of Europe. I've always loved language and culture, and hope to learn as much as I can throughout my travels this year. This is the primary goal through my Workaways--to experience an authentic piece of your country, and share what I can about mine.

Personality wise, I'm a true ambivert! I love more than anything to meet and get to know new people, however, I also highly value time alone (solo travelers don't always have a choice!). I am energetic, open minded, flexible, curious and always positive. I have a high work ethic and enjoy putting myself toward a project as best as I can. I live passionately, and I am always looking for a way to contribute. I hope that through Workaway, I can find meaningful projects to become a part of, and do what I can to help. I look forward to meeting you all, and seeing where my next adventure takes me!

  • More details about your skills

I currently work as an English Teacher, waitress, and nanny--giving me a vast array of skills in communication, child care, cleaning, cooking, serving, ext. I work in a Mexican restaurant--so if you'd like good nachos and margaritas--I've got it covered! I've worked in retail, in museums, and as a hostess, so I am comfortable with people, cash register operations, and other logistics of a business. I also grew up with a Property Managing parent, so I am familiar with handy tasks such as yard work, simple repairs, painting, and interior design.

I have tutored students from age 5 to 70 in English, so I would love to help you with the language regardless of your level! Currently, I speak conversational Spanish and beginner Japanese, and hope to improve both on my travels with Workaway, as well as pick up some new ones! Let's exchange!

In general, I would consider my greatest skill as being adaptable. I am always willing to try, and pick up new skills quickly. If you need something, and I have the tools to do it, I'll get the job done!

  • What else ...

I am an adventurer at heart! I would love to stay somewhere that gives me a bit of time to explore the surrounding area. I love the outdoors; hiking, camping, snowboarding, swimming...let's do it all! If we're in a city, I like to find new restaurants or hidden cafes to try. I play the ukulele and enjoy listening to other play whatever they can. Live music is one of my favorite things to do, no matter the occasion. I also enjoy reading, journaling, playing board or card games, or just sitting and talking to others.
