I'm experienced in a variety of guest centred hospitality roles, I have worked in bars, nightclubs, pubs, retail, hotels & hostels.
I have experience of basic farm work, animal care and housesitting. Using platforms in the UK to help out others or from my time volunteering in dog shelters.
My educational background is in creative IT, I have university degree in video game development and like to learn new software.
I am happy to share my ongoing experience with mindfulness & meditation practices.
I'm passionate about languages, and have experience teaching English online. Language exchange opportunities are very welcome, especially in German, Portuguese, Spanish or French.

The Shelter itself, the facilities and the hard work shown everyday by both staff and volunteers is impressive. You can feel how much Iona cares about the place and creating a welcome experience and a fluid team and a lot of good memories were made with the varied cast we had across the season. I spent 3 weeks here March/April, this hostel is great, it really has a true hostel vibe, it’s in a great central location. I spent around a month here during low season Feb/March. Merli and Kiti were really nice, flexible and responded quickly whenever i needed something, it would of been nice to say goodbye in person.
