Description
I'm 23 and a fairly varied person. I've been playing guitar my whole life and love spending time with people who also value expression and creativity. I will play songs around a campfire until midnight and then debate whoever is still awake and interested on the implications quantum mechanics has on free will. I love getting new perspectives on the world and there's almosmst nothing that I don't want to learn about.
Things I find particularly interesting or simply enjoy include:
- Music
- Cooking
- Philosophy
- Sailing, Surfing, Windsurfing
- Science (mostly wacky sci-fi-adjacent theories that will probably never happen but I can live in hope)
- Languages
- Being part of something meaningful
I am a fairly introverted lad but I'm very sociable once I'm comfortable and will yap on and on about not much and everything simultaneously for hours on end.
As I mentioned above, I love learning new things and I would really enjoy a skill swap - either more formal with pen and paper or just casual knowledge/skill sharing. I am up for learning pretty much anythiging and could teach music, English, maths, physics, or chemistry.
I would also simply enjoy offering my time and labour for a cause that I find meaningful. Other than my academic background, I have worked in a couple of workshops so I'm good with my hands and familiar with reparations and construction especially woodwork and electronics (though I may not be able to help much with the later due to regulations)

Languages
Languages spoken
English: Fluent
German: IntermediateMore details about my language interests
I once learnt French in school but never got far because I couldn't use it in practice. I've also tried to teach myself Esperanto, Japanese, and Indonesian, but always hit the same problem of not being able to use it in practice. German is the only language I've gotten anywhere near fluent in and that is due to my family being partly German. I would absolutely love to do a skill exchange, not necessarily a language but I could teach English since I'm a native speaker and have an interest in languages more generally
Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn
I'm interested in:
Animal Care
Life at a Farmstay
Some knowledge of:
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Able to teach about:
Helping with Computers/ Internet

More details about your skills
- I'm a native English speaker and also speak German
- I've worked as a guitar technician and with woodworking tools more generally so I'm comfortable and safe in a workshop
- When I was younger I loved growing food and I learnt about soil health and natural ways to maximise harvest
- and I'm educated to degree level in Natural Sciences including everything from physics to psychology (yes, I can be bit of an arrogant smart arse at times but you can give me an affectionate eyeroll or even slap on the cheek if you ever feel like my ego is getting the best of me :-)
Age
23

What else ...
My main motive to go volunteering is that I've been unable to make a life here in England that I really find meaningful. I'm still young, and although I am successful in paper, I feel I have a lot to learn about truely living a meaningful and fulfilling live. I would love to meet people who have new perspectives on the world and who will challenge me to grow beyond the standard metrics of success I have become so bored of hearing. If you think you can challenge me and have an opportunity where I can offer you something too, I would love to meet you...
