LOOKING FOR NEXT WORKAWAY STARTING DECEMBER 19 TO BEGINNING JANUARY

Life needs to be experienced in full through pushing past your limits and learning from others. There is beauty in every moment, so it's important to make the most of the time we have. Our names are Jillian and Autumn, we want to travel the world, learn new skills and lend a hand whenever we can. Autumn has been waiting her whole life to push herself outside her comfort zone, leave her job and home in the hopes of finding kind people and beautiful new horizons. Jillian is relatively new to the idea of travelling the world, and is excited to see where the future takes her. We can't wait to see the stars of the southern hemisphere and learn as much as we can from the Workaway program.

Hey, it's Autumn. I'm a CSIA-certified ski instructor, and for 4 years I taught young children to ski. I've also worked on my aunt's farm, taking care of sheep, cattle, pigs, rabbits and chickens. I love animals to the point where mucking out stalls is actually kind of rewarding. To top it all off, I've had many years of martial arts training and swam competitively. I'm eager to learn new skills from anyone willing to teach me.

Hey, it’s Jillian, and in my eighteen years of life, I have built up a wide range of adaptable skills, including first responder experience, martial arts and media arts. First, I participated in a college co-op program, training the youth of today in first responders’ tactics. I also had the opportunity to be one of the few teens selected for a specialized and highly acclaimed firefighting camp, in which I was honoured to become the valedictorian. Likewise, I have recently earned my black belt in jiu-jitsu after 13 years of training. Today, I help out my dojo with training other kids in their progress through the ranks. On another note, I am a very creative individual who has had amateur training in drawing, crafting, digital art, photography, media arts, etc. I enjoy learning new skills and can’t wait to explore all the workaway program has to offer.

Jillian has rather extensive knowledge of native birds in Canada and absolutely loves bird watching and identification. She is very excited to study new wildlife. She also aspires to become a firefighter, participating in many programs in order to prepare herself for that dream. Jillian is an exceptional artist and spent a semester of her high school years studying media arts and making animated short films.

Autumn loves to sleep outdoors and be in the wilderness. She has spent the last 5 years sleeping in a tent in her backyard (except for the winter months, of course, it's Canada). She loves learning about different cultures and the various sports and art forms that come with them. Autumn loves going against the grain; to her, being eccentric is a superpower.
