Profile information

Description
We’re Philip and Stefanía, a couple travelling around Australia with the hope of making this journey as meaningful as it is fun 🌱. What excites us most is being close to nature, meeting people with different stories, and helping out wherever we can. We’re adaptable, curious, and reliable — and we love the idea of learning from each experience while leaving something positive behind.
Philip:
After many solo trips overseas, I’m now enjoying discovering Australia while looking for ways to combine adventure with purpose. My background is in Civil Engineering, but I left the office world to work in rope access, which allows me to stay active and work with my hands. I love being outdoors, cooking good food, and keeping fit. For me, travelling is about growth, sharing experiences, and picking up new skills along the way.
Stefanía
I’m originally from Colombia/Spain and currently on a Work & Holiday visa in Australia. I studied Communication & Public Relations and worked at Euromind, where I supported students from across Europe during their internships — an experience that made me adaptable, patient, and people-oriented. I feel happiest when I’m around animals, exploring nature, or creating something artistic (painting, drawing, sculpting 🎨). What I value most while travelling is connecting with people in a genuine way and contributing wherever I can.

More details about your skills
Philip:
I studied civil engineering but decided to leave the office life behind and now work in the rope access industry. I have some general gardening experience. I know my way around common tools and power tools used around the home. In 2020 I designed and fitted out a small van with a fully livable bed/table/kitchen setup using plywood and my father's workshop and tools. From this I developed basic woodworking skills and am generally fast to pick up any new tools and/or techniques when working with my hands. My van build stood the test of time - I lived out of it for 3 years before heading to Australia. I also have basic automotive knowledge and with the right tools I am comfortable with the standard tasks required to keep a car in good condition (oil changes, tyre pressure, water level, fuses). I consider myself a diligent person and naturally take pride in my work. I enjoy working outside and with my hands.
Stefania:
I’m adaptable and a fast learner. I’ve had experience in hospitality, cleaning, tourism, and even some construction, so I’m comfortable taking on different tasks. I like being reliable, responsible and making sure things are done well, whether it’s keeping spaces tidy, helping in the kitchen, or giving a hand wherever needed. I really enjoy being outdoors and taking care of animals (feeding, walking, cleaning), and I feel very comfortable in rural environments. I also have a creative mind — I can draw, paint, and sculpt, and I enjoy bringing artistic ideas to life, whether for decoration, small projects, or working with children. Finally, I'm fluent in Spanish and English, with good communication skills.
