Hi Pauline & David here! (See our joint van and now travel instagram: @po_and_dave_onthemove)

Looking for community building projects and to meet likeminded travellers and getting immersed in local farm stays/ home stays.

We've just quit our corporate jobs to backpack and explore the world after our beloved van conversion ended on the scrap heap before we finished it (see @po_and_dave_onthemove) ! We'd both dreamt of converting a van, and whilst it did not work out as planned, we had the best time learning all things building design, carpentry, electrics (David installed the solar panels and entire electrical system), plumbing, window installation, bed mechanics , and sewing soft furnishings. We definitely see another build in our future, but weren't ready to take up another van project so soon, and instead decided to quit our jobs, and go explore what the world has to offer starting with South America and lend a helping hand to other lovely people and their projects.

We love to explore through home stays, farm stays, and various building, gardening/ farming projects or surf camps, ranches/animal farms where possible.

***David (34)*** british, studied in Manchester, and worked in recruitment and then made a big career pivot into data which ended just last month when we both quit our jobs to explore the world.
Loves: Carpentry, problem solving, creative eye to problem solving, data analysis, cooking, animals, gardening

***Pauline (30) *** french/ british fluent in both french and english, and intermediate spanish ( travelled across LATAM in 2019 for 4months before living in Merida for 6 months back in 2020). Worked as a medical illustrator for the past 8 years for a start up and now loving all things graphic design, video editing, animation, storytelling.

Until late 2025 we'd been converting a van into a camper (for c.14 months) and loving everything about the build! Sadly the van had terminal mechanical issues so ended up on the scrap yard before we could get started with vanlife. All to say, we'd love to help out building/DIYing!
