Description
Hi! I'm Olivia. I just graduated from college, I'm 22 years old, originally from Chicago, and I've had some awesome experiences with Workaway/WWOOF over the gap year that I took before starting college. I'm now taking another year off and looking to travel and help wherever I can!
In my free time, I like painting, writing, spirituality/meditation, and keeping my mind and body moving. I love the outdoors (especially backcountry camping and canoeing), gardening, and spending time in nature. I've WWOOFed on several farms and the experience has been so valuable to me. I also really enjoy working with others and volunteering in my community (mostly as a tutor).
I also have plenty of experience with farming (WWOOF over my gap year, plus worked on a farm here in CT last summer) (also working outside in general!) and working in hospitality (I worked at hostels through Workaway, and several restaurants). I'm super flexible and happy to help with whatever y'all have going on!Interests

More details about your skills
I’ve had a good amount of experience with traveling, working outdoors, and working with children. In 2018, I lived in Ecuador for a month, and I stayed at a hostel on a farm with animals where I helped with cooking and babysitting. While I was there, I also stayed with a host family in the city for a week, where I helped with daily chores, and worked with kids at the local elementary school.
My experience with WWOOF helped me learn about farm life, and working on farms has been really enjoyable for me, as I love being outside and seeing the rewards of hard work. On the farms I WWOOFed at, I helped with whatever chores needed to be done, and I'm open to doing the same Workawaying! In 2022 I worked on a farm school here in Connecticut for a summer as well.
I have a lot of experience with hospitality – I've been in the restaurant industry for several years, so I'm good at (and enjoy!) working with people, whether it's the staff/team or the people I help. I also did a Workaway at a hostel in 2021, where I helped guests and contributed to a clean, welcoming environment.
I'm always open to help with anything, and from past experiences I'm familiar with generally contributing to whatever needs to get done. I speak fluent (native) English and intermediate Spanish. Above all, I am hoping to learn new skills, so I am open to doing any type of work that you need!Age
