Hi all!

I think I'm a quite enthusiastic person who loves to build relationships with other people. Thus, I like to listen to life stories of others and share a nice and insightful conversation with them.

I'm a nature lover, being a scout since childhood and still trying to find time throughout the year to sleep under the stars or surrounded by trees. I definitely am a mountain lover, hiking through landscapes brings me joy.

I love to learn new things, doing things for the first time, diving into other cultures and broadening my horizon this way. Although I learned my whole life (who doesn't?) I can't get enough of it, so I'm really striving for these moments of realisation when everything's just coming together and you earned a new perspective on life.

Being in companionship with others enriches my life, especially if they're not only nice to be around but if they also know how to respect personal boundaries and the desire of being for yourself from time to time as well.

I like honesty and open communication because this way you know what to deal with instead of guessing what could be the case. I like it, if adults are practising it, but this is also something I like about children. I work in the profession of primary school teaching, so I like to be in direct interaction with kids for a significant part of the day! That makes me happy most of the times, too. ;-)

I'm kind of an active person. I'm doing voluntary work in various associations (connected to organic production of vegetables and reducing inequality through education), I like to go swimming, hiking and cooking together with others. I also like to read from time to time or make music (singing, playing the guitar/guitalele).

Finally, just to make it clear:
Even though prejudices and stereotypes are strongly anchored in our society and ourselves, I am constantly trying to be less influenced by these. Devaluing people on the basis of various discrimination factors like racism, classism, sexism, etc. is nothing I want to take part in neither I want it in my life.

We hosted Armin for 10 days and it was great! We worked in the garden, harvesting and prepping garden beds for winter, and some construction projects as well as cleaning and organizing some outdoor spaces. I was helping out for 10 days at Lumia's & Nick's place and we did a lot of harvesting, gardening, preparing food for the winter and sorting stuff in several rooms and buildings on the premise. Thank you so much for opening your home to me for eight inspiring and unbelievably cozy days!
Luckily we talked about our experiences with each other already in detail in person, so I won't elaborate on that here, but rather will dedicate the rest of this feedback to tell others about your place and my experience:

I was… read more at Sini's place for eight days in the beginning of January. You should know that it is dark and (kind of) cold in this time of the year in Southern Finland. For me it was quite perfect (I was travelling in Lapland the week before and it was even colder and darker ;D), because I had a lot of time after the end of work to think about important questions in my life or just to read. There were also a lot of nice inside community activities I did with Sini and Sergio, like different skill sharing courses, making music or playing games. Even though I only was there for a short time I was able to feel that my mind was calming down. Sini and Sergio, who also lives at this place right now, were strongly supporting this mood by their way of living and their perspective on things. It felt very natural quite fast to live with them and communicate/interact with them on a daily basis. I am pretty sure that our bond would have strengthened even more if I only had stayed longer. It is important to them to communicate clearly in an appreciative and - over all - just very kind way. Even if they had to tell me specific things about the work and how to do it it never felt like getting instructions from a manager, but rather like getting tips from a friend. I think, I just liked the social and communicative energy in this place a lot! They also know how to live the good life: they practice self-care and care for others, we went to sauna and they cherish good and self-made food which is amazing - I even got some new ideas for recipes! :) In general, I was able to learn so many things on different levels and dimensions from Sini and Sergio which made my stay super fruitful.

If it is important to you that people treat and communicate with each other in a kind, respectful, thoughtful and appreciative way, Sini's place is great in my opinion!
Ah, yeah, I also did some work. It was not the usual work on the building site because it was winter, but there were various interesting and mind-calming things to do. Working hours were as stated in the profile and totally fine!

Sini & Sergio, I hope to see you again, wherever we will end up!
