Hi I'm Nomi!
I'm currently on my gap year after finishing school in Australia. I've been travelling for 6 months all over, working at a summer camp in Canada as a counsellor and in the kitchen. I am now volunteering at a kibbutz in Israel with kids after school and at the end of January I want to travel to Europe through workaway!
I love the idea of travelling to places for a longer amount of time to really be able to immerse myself in life in whatever new place I am.
I love to play music and sing, I actually write songs and have quite a few on spotify and other music platforms.
I am also a big lover of dancing. I've been dancing for 15 years and I just love it, being able to express myself fully and just move! and being able to share it with others of course!
I'm a very easygoing, hard-working, fun-having person, new things excite me and I'm so eager to explore everything from new countries to new jobs to new people and maybe even more hobbies:)

I have worked with kids for years, volunteering with multiple youth movements focused on self-development and connection and fun obviously, babysitting, running community activities, working at summer camps, tutoring and dance classes! I also have worked as a receptionist for a massage place, have danced in groups at festivals, have played music for gigs, I have created some of my own small business making necklaces/gloves, I have helped running events and participating in markets, I have worked with people moving houses, I've worked in cleaning. I have worked as a chef, waitress and cashier for different places, I have volunteered doing outdoor maintenance, including gardening, mowing, weeding etc. and have grown up doing these jobs because mum loves them.
I am a dance teacher in hip hop, jazz, contemporary, Acrobatics and have taught some ballet. Very very eager to share dance with people too.
I have worked in a few kitchen jobs including a falafel kiosk, a burger place and in the kitchen at a summer camp, so I am well equipped when it comes to feeding large amounts of people.
I play, write and sing music, it's one of the things I'm most passionate about. I have heaps of experience within it, playing guitar, piano, ukulele, (a little violin), singing, writing songs and recording. Though I haven't formally taught music I think it's something that I would definitely be able to do.
I love working outside in nature, I really really love nature in general and am experienced in maintaining large properties, as I've also lived in a nature filled region.
I have some experience and of course some I don't, but I am so eager to learn, and I'm a quick learner and find myself extremely adaptive to all types of work. So there may be things that I don't know but I'll always do my best and am ready to expand my knowledge and experience with work that i have never done before:)

I love art, studying, discovering new things, being social, meeting new people and fostering connections. I like to think of myself as a bit of a kid, because I really do enjoy learning, playing and living as completely as I can.
I really enjoy adventuring in nature, I come from a really beautiful place in Australia and I'm so grateful for the beauty this planet has, so I'm really excited to discover more of it.

It has a beautiful calmness which I needed badly and the people are all so sweet. I enjoyed cooking and the nature and all the different tasks that allowed us to be self-sustainable, it was awesome to see a community built up on these values.
