Hello workaway community!

My name is Nele and I am from Germany. I finished high school two years ago and travelled through Australia and New Zealand afterwards. Now I live in the nice city of Cologne and I am studying social work and working as a waitress.

In Australia I was able to gain my first experiences with workaway, which has truly been amazing. Workaway has shown me a lot different ways of living and working. The people I met when I was travelling introduced me into a new look at life and I had many meaningful conversations. The little time I have while studying, I want to spend on travelling and getting to know more cultures. The work I enjoyed the most in Australia was gardening, I love cooking as well and I have lots of experience in general household tasks.

About my life in Germany: I am a street dancer at a studio in Cologne and I love spending time in nature as well as exploring the city I moved to. I enjoy getting to know new folks and making new experiences together.

Most of my experiences that can be useful for a workaway I have gained at home and expanded during my workaway experiences. I love gardening and I am happy to help with any household chores, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, washing and ironing. Additionally I really like cooking, but I am still learning. Besides I am good with children as I sometimes babysat for my neighbours and have done several internships in primary schools. For a few months I was working as a cashier and helping out in a restaurant, where I learned to work very quickly and attentively.

I cannot offer very special skills, as you can see, but I can offer a lot of enthusiasm. So if you are looking for someone who is interested in learning and working and who is (after a little explanation;)) able to work independently, I am the right person for you. I would be happy to acquire many new skills.🙌🏼

Nele just did her first Workaway with us in Port Douglas. What an amazing young lady! She is hard working and can work independently always completing jobs well. Great attention to detail.
