Description
Our accommodation is one of the few options in Santo Amaro that escape from the noisy town center. Instead, we're in a large area, surrounded by nature and tranquility. We're located between the town's main square and the National Park entrance. This area of the park near Santo Amaro is where you'll find the most abundant and beautiful lagoons, which are accessible even by foot from the pousada.

Help
Our volunteers help our permanent staff and replace them on their days off, doing this kind of activities:
- Gardening;
- Bungalow maintenence: light painting, varnishing, fixing wooden accessories, etc;
- External and common area maintenence.

Nossos voluntários ajudam nossa equipe fixa e cobre as folgas deles, fazendo esse tipo de atividade:
- Cuidar do jardim;
- Fazer a manutenção necessária nos bangalôs: pintura, envernizamento, confeccionar acessórios de madeira, etc;
- Manutenção nas áreas externas e comuns.

Accommodation
We have a staff room with one single bed (or 2, just in case of couples or friends willing to share the same room), and shared bathroom. If the hotel is not fully occuppied, you might stay in one of our bungalows. Breakfast included, the other meals are your responsability and we're free to use our staff kitchen.
Temos um quarto dedicado apra os voluntários, com uma cama de solteiro (ou duas, só para caso de casais ou amigos dispostos a dividir o quarto). Se a pousada estiver vazia, pode ser que você fique em um dos nossos bangalôs. Café da manhã incluído. As outras refeições são por sua conta e você pode usar nossa cozinha para funcionários.
What else ...
How to get here: coming from São Luís, there's a transfer twice a day, for R$100,00. They pick you up wherever you are and drop you here.
What to do: From Santo Amaro you can take a number of tour to visit the lagoons. Some are half day and othersthe whole day. In some you go by car or quad, in others you take a boat or walk.
In town, you can walk to beautiful river beaches.
You can also take a transfer to Barreirinhas, take a boat down to Atins, and walk from there to Santo Amaro, crossing the whole park of Lençóis Maranhenses. You must do this with a guide and sleep in hammocks in native villages on the way.
We'll work Monday to Friday. On weekends, we'll be organizing tours to the laggons with all the volunteers for affordable prices.
Como chegar: vindo de São Luís, o transporte é feito de van, duas vezes por dia, a R$ 70,00. Eles buscam onde você estiver e te deixam aqui.
O que fazer: de Santo Amaro, saem passeios para várias lagoas. Alguns passeios são de dia todo, outros meio dia. Alguns são de carro 4x4 ou quadriciclo, outros de barco ou a pé.
Na cidade, você pode ir caminhando até as praias de rio, lindas e deliciosas.
Você também pode ir para Barreirinhas, pegar um barco para Atins e caminhar atravessando o parque todo dos Lençóis Maranhenses terminando em Santo Amaro. Você precisa estar acompanhado de um guia, e dorme em redes em vilarejos nativos no caminho.
Nós vamos trabalhar de segunda a sexta. Nos fins de semana, organizaremos passeios para as lagoas com todos os voluntários, por valores acessíveis.

We have decent wi-fi connection and comfortable tables and chairs. You can find a spot to be on your own too, but there's usually some noise throughout the day. Temos internet boa e mesas e cadeiras confortáveis. Você consegue achar também um cantinho para ficar sozinho, mas geralmente tem barulho da obra ao longo do dia.
Space for parking camper vans
We have a parking lot of front of the inn, but so far it's only accessible by 4x4, since it's a sand road. Temos vagas de estacionamento na frente da pousada, mas no momento ela só é acessada por 4x4, pois a rua é de areia.

We accept animals as long as they don't fight with other animals that live around here.
