Description
We are now a family of 3, Fernando, Mickaela, and our 2y8m old little girl. Right now we are mostly hosting on Workaway, but as we are traveling with our daughter for the first time this year, we decided to renew our Workawayer membership and maybe know some good people on the way.
You can check our host profile, as there you can find lots of information about us, as well as reviews from the Workawayers we hosted the last few years.
Long story short: we are passionated for traveling. Also pasionated for Ireland. We traveled as workawayers before, did some vonlunteer, specially in organic farming and woodworking. And after my daughter was born we stopped a bit, slowly starting our adventures again this year.
Right now we live in Brazil, at my childhood's old house in the countryside. We have our own business of organic eggs, so we have lots of experience with husbundry. We also have a small veggie garden and fruit trees along the property. I am spending most of my time taking care of our child, so I can help with children. I really love to cook, specially if its for sharing the meal with family and friends, so, if we take turns with the kids somehow, for sure I can cook good meals to everyone, and also help around the house.
Fernando works with IT, actively looking for a 100% remote job in his area. Apart from that, he is very skilled in almost anything he can fix, build or make with his own hands. He is an expert in light maintenance, electricity, creative DIY projects. He also enjoys a lot (as well as myself, and of course our daughter) to work in the veggie garden. He is a hardworker, sometimes we have to tell him to stop working haha.
I am a former biologist teacher (I was also a babysitter, a cook and a vet nurse during my lifetime), right now investing all my time taking care of my child and studying Rudolf Steiner Antroposophy fundamentals. I am interested in deepening my knowledge in Waldorf Pedagogy, Biodinamic Agriculture, Circular Economy and Biographic therapy. But specially in the Waldorf education, as I am quite interested in becoming a Waldorf teacher.
We are very interested in Yoga, meditation, healthy eating, permaculture, and live a balanced life that respects Mother Nature and our Planet.
We believe humans need comunity to survive and to be happy, and we are still looking for our "tribe". Hope we can find some people with similar views along the way. -
