Hello! My name is Melania, I am an Italian girl graduated in Environmental Engineering with a strong interest in sustainability, environmental protection and community-based projects.
I decided to join Workaway because I love exploring the world, travelling slowly and meeting new people, especially by connecting with local communities and learning from different cultures. I believe that travelling is not only about discovering new places, but also about sharing experiences, skills and values.

Through my studies and work experiences, I have developed a good sense of responsibility, organisation and adaptability. Environmental topics are very important to me, and I would be happy to contribute to projects related to nature, sustainability, eco-living, environmental education or community life. I am motivated to learn new skills and to support daily activities with enthusiasm and respect.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting and walking in nature. I love spending time outdoors, observing landscapes and living a simple, meaningful lifestyle close to the environment.
I am open-minded, reliable and curious, and I look forward to sharing time, ideas and experiences with hosts and other volunteers while contributing positively to their projects.

I studied languages in high school, including English, French and German. In September, I started a Master’s degree in Climate Science taught in English, so I practise English on a daily basis. I would also like to improve my French and restart practising German.
