Description
Hola!! my name is McKenna. I am currently traveling solo through Peru and hoping to volunteer/stay somewhere to learn more about the land, la selva, and learn more about myself in this world. I am a student at the University of Washington studying neuroscience, with a minor in Spanish. I love learning languages, hiking/camping, reading, trying new foods and coffee, gardening, singing/playing guitar, and spending time with animals and in nature. While I am not a specifically spiritual person, I am interested in learning more about local/indigenous practices and understandings, and in continuing my journey of the self, exploring various plant medicines and meditation in safe, open-minded environments with a like-minded community.
I am seeking an opportunity where I would have the opportunity to learn through plant medicines in exchange for service and support with household/property maintenance, cooking/cleaning, and more.
I am of the belief that ceremonial and spiritual healing is priceless, and while energy and intention certainly go into creating such experiences, I feel a space open to cultural/language/physical exchange, rather than high monetary cost, may have the energy and values I am looking for. -

I have independently maintained small farms (farm/house/pet-sitting), including gardening, taking care of animals/livestock, cooking and cleaning, and completing maintenance tasks around a property/home. I have worked with and taught children ages 3-11 in educational, creative, and recreational settings (reading/writing/skiing/art).
