Description
Hi everyone - experience first, ranting about how great we are second :)
Workaway experience
==================
We have plenty of workaway experience now - 5 times together (I think...) and maybe 4 other times Jamie did it besides that, and maybe a couple of other "unofficial" ones too with friends of friends. Jamie started doing them in France in 2009, and has had a few accounts, so many older references have been lost unfortunately. We'll happily regale you with the tales though.
Previous memorable jobs include: minding 7 dogs (for ~6 months), digging a big vegetable patch (1 week of pure digging), 4 star BnB cleaning and preparing rooms (1 month, also Jamie was "swimming pool technician" there), heavy-duty weeding (1 fun week one Christmas clearing a massive field of an invasive species the two of us), and generally a fair amount of farming, animal care (chickens, donkeys, pigs), fence building, path building, a bit of painting and plastering here and there, lots of wood chopping. Fairly classic workaway stuff, plus a few odd bits more.
Professional experience
====================
Jamie was a barman(.person) in his family bar for years, worked in a 4-star hotel as his first job, worked as a Deliveroo cyclist in Berlin for two years (and loved it immensely, and got very into cycling and the local bike people), and worked in France as a music teacher for five years giving private classes. Charlie was working in high-end Japanese restaurants in Hong Kong, as well as a good few other restaurant jobs over the years. She's now in a media / advertising company in Dublin since about a year and doing very well there.
Biographical splurge
=================
A Wexford (Ireland) and Hong Kong couple, who met in Lyon, France almost 6 years ago now (how time flies). As you might imagine from the geographical melee, we enjoy different cultures, languages, people, and travelling (in the old-fashioned sense of really getting to know different places intimately).
Charlie is a qualified Artsy Markety person, after her "Marché de l'Art" degree in Lyon. Jamie has studied mathematics and philosophy in University a good few moons ago, and still reads the occasional mad book.
We both love languages and speak many between us, we both play music on various instruments, we both love outdoorsy stuff and adventure and new things. Charlie was a dancer and Jamie was a hurler. We want to learn and be with good people - creative types, philosopher types, dreamer types, honest types, revolutionary types, DIY types, warm and generous types.Languages

Jamie has been a barman, a bike messenger, and a teacher, with experience teaching kids up to grandparents and all in between, mostly piano, but also flute, tin whistle, mathematics, English, Irish, and general homework help. He's also done loads of odd jobs during all the workaways he's done. Charlie has worked in cafes and restaurants up to and including very high-end ones, and now is doing well in a media/advertising company in Dublin. She's an excellent cook and knows a lot about plants.
