Hi, my name is Luz. I am from Houston, Texas with a background in environmental engineering. I worked as an engineer for nearly 10 years where I did a lot of field work, managed projects and budgets, wrote proposals, and trained new employees. I love to travel and discover new places. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, and birdwatching. I also love crafting and more recently have been doing a lot of quilting. I am a pretty low maintenance person and enjoy trying new things and keeping busy.

I worked as an engineer and am very good at working with computers, managing budgets, and writing reports. Great at problem solving.
I am calm under pressure.
I co-founded and co-hosted a podcast called "How to College: First Gen" for which I also managed the social media channels and prepared monthly email newsletters.
I have also worked as a custodian cleaning offices and bathrooms and maintaining an organized workplace.
