  • Description

I thrive on genuine human connection. I love really getting to know people, their backgrounds, cultures, perspectives and the experiences that have shaped them. I’m often described as kind, open-hearted and calm, someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. I bring warm, grounded energy into the spaces I enter. I’m adventurous and social, but I also value quiet moments to read, reflect and journal. I adapt easily to my environment and try to create spaces where others feel comfortable, safe and welcome.

Since I was young, I’ve always wanted to experience things for myself before forming an opinion. While at university, I joined the Charity Hitchhiking Society, where we raised money for local charities while travelling across Europe without paying for transport. Spending hours in cars with strangers, hearing their life stories and perspectives, completely shifted the way I see the world. It restored my faith in humanity and showed me how powerful open conversation can be. I stayed involved for three years, later joining the committee as Publicity Officer and then Charities Officer. That experience strengthened my communication skills, resilience, adaptability and sense of responsibility within a team.

I grew up in a small seaside town in England, surrounded by nature but not much cultural diversity. Travelling opened my eyes to how much more there is to learn beyond the place you start in. I move through unfamiliar places with curiosity rather than judgement. I believe strongly in kindness, mutual respect and our responsibility to look out for one another, especially in a world that can sometimes feel divided. I want to understand people properly, without assumptions, and learn from their lived experiences.

I feel most myself when I’m contributing to a community and working toward something shared. Growing up with four sisters and living in multiple shared houses has made communal living second nature to me. I’m very aware of respecting people’s space, routines and boundaries. I communicate openly, show up on time, and take responsibility for the tasks I’m given. Whether it’s helping guests feel welcome, supporting a project behind the scenes, or contributing to daily routines, I approach work with care and consistency. I may be easygoing in personality, but I take commitments seriously.

Travel, for me, is about depth rather than distance. It has taught me that there are many ways to live and that I don’t have to follow one narrow path. It’s shown me how powerful community-oriented cultures can be and how much I value shared experiences over individual achievement. I choose to travel slowly and volunteer because I don’t just want to pass through places, I want to contribute meaningfully, learn deeply, and leave spaces better than I found them. I’m excited to join environments where we can exchange stories, skills and perspectives while building something positive together.

  • More details about your skills

I have four years of experience working in hospitality across restaurants, bars and events. Through this, I've developed strong communication skills, confidence interacting with guests, and the ability to stay calm and orgaised during busy periods. I'm used to working long shifts, adapting to different teams, and taking responsibility for my role.

During University, I served on the committee of a charity society for two years, where I helped with publicity and later coordinated relationships with partner charities. This experience strengthened my organisation, teamwork and relatability. I'm comfortable plannng tasks, communicating clearly, and following through on commitments,

I've also volunteered at festivals and worked in fast-paced environments where flexibility and problem-solving were important. I'm adaptable, open to learning new skills, and happy to take initative when appropriate.

Beyond professional experience, I'm very comfortable in shared living environments. Having grown up with four sisters and lived in multiple shared houses, I'm respectful of routines, cleanliness and communication within a home.

I'm physically active and happy to help with practical tasks such as cleaning, organising guest interaction, basic maintenance, or manual work. I approach tasks with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

I'm really interested in geography and psychology. I also used to be in a swimming team so I know how to teach swimming well.
I used to get really hyperfixated on certain hobbies or topics growing up so I have lots of random knowledge about various things!
