About me

Hi! I’m Lilou, a French traveler currently exploring Canada with a Working Holiday Visa.

I’m an active, positive and curious person who loves discovering new places and meeting people from different backgrounds. I enjoy living simply, spending time outdoors, hiking and being surrounded by nature.

I have experience working with children through holiday camps and babysitting, so I’m patient, responsible and used to adapting to different situations. I also absolutely love animals and would be very happy to help care for them, whether it’s feeding, walking, grooming or simply giving them attention.

I’m not afraid of physical work and I’m always happy to lend a hand with gardening, cleaning, cooking, organizing or any daily tasks. I learn quickly, I’m reliable and I always do my best to help create a friendly and positive atmosphere.

For me, Workaway is much more than a place to stay—it’s an opportunity to share experiences, learn new skills and discover a different way of life. I’m looking forward to meeting wonderful people and contributing wherever I can!

We were so incredibly lucky to have Lilou stay with us! She was enthusiastic, easy to work with, incredibly cheerful and hard working. Always timely and she genuinely loved our boys, who had so much fun with Lilou.
She is honorary family forever more. ❤️

J’ai principalement eu la chance de m’occuper de ses enfants, qui sont absolument adorables. Passer du temps avec les enfants, jouer avec eux, les accompagner dans leur quotidien et partager tous ces petits moments a été une partie très importante et très heureuse de mon séjour.

J’ai aussi pu découvrir la vie dans un ranch canadien, m’occuper des animaux et participer aux différentes tâches du quotidien. Mais ce que je retiendrai surtout, c’est l’expérience humaine et les liens que j’ai pu créer avec Claire et sa famille.

Claire m’a accueillie avec beaucoup de confiance et de générosité, et je suis vraiment reconnaissante d’avoir pu partager ces presque deux mois avec eux. C’était une expérience que je n’oublierai pas et qui a rendu mon voyage en Alberta encore plus spécial.

Je recommande vraiment Claire à tous ceux qui souhaitent vivre une expérience authentique, découvrir la vie de famille au Canada et être accueillis comme une vraie partie de la famille. ❤️

🇬🇧 I spent almost two months with Claire, and I will truly keep a very special memory of this experience.

I mainly had the chance to take care of her children, who are absolutely adorable. I had always dreamed of having an Au Pair experience, and in the end, without even planning it that way, I got exactly the kind of experience I had always hoped for. Spending time with the kids, playing with them, being part of their everyday life and sharing all those little moments was a very important and very happy part of my stay.

I also had the opportunity to discover life on a Canadian ranch, take care of the animals and help with different everyday tasks. But what I will remember the most is the human experience and the bond I was able to build with Claire and her family.

Claire welcomed me with so much trust and generosity, and I am truly grateful that I had the opportunity to spend these almost two months with them. It was an experience I will never forget, and it made my time in Alberta even more special.

I would definitely recommend Claire to anyone who wants an authentic experience, discover family life in Canada and feel genuinely welcomed as part of the family. ❤️
