Hello! My name is Kari and I am from the United States! I love being out in nature and caring for our planet and everyone living here:) I love staying active, whether that be through hiking, biking, yoga, etc.. Always down for any adventure!! Being in foreign places and trying new things excites me, and I am always open to new ideas:) There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing hard work pay off. I want to go anywhere and everywhere! I believe that there are important lessons to learn wherever you go and with whomever you meet!

I LOVE backpacking and other backcountry trips. Being in the wild makes me feel the most alive:)

I've worked in conservation and have experience working with NGOs, building trails, constructing boardwalks, and restoring habitats!

I am strong and hardworking. I have worked outside with crops or plants every summer since I was a kid. I've worked in greenhouses and regenerative farms. I also just love gardening and caring for my own houseplants.

I have had lots of experience with kids! I've nannied and babysat for over 10 years and I've worked as a camp counselor and backpacking guide for kids for a couple years.

Customer service. I've worked in tourism in the United States and volunteered in hostels. It's very important to me that people feel welcome and cared for.

Art has always been a part of my life. Ever since I was little, I would reach for the nearest paper and colored pencils. I love painting, drawing, sculpting, and basically anything creative.

I have an open mind and a thirst for knowledge of all sorts.

I love playing my ukulele! It helps me express myself and relax. I brew kombucha in my bedroom, I love learning about astronomy (both the scientific and story parts of it), I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, I love skateboarding, and I'm into meditation and yoga. I love hands-on work and getting dirty. I've been living a nomadically for a couple of years now. When I am done with these gap years, I plan to attend college and earn a bachelor's degree in Biology (and maybe Global Studies).

Although my brother and I were only able to stay for 6 days, we had a wonderful time here. If we had more time, we would would have stayed longer, as this is a great way to see the surrounding area.
