Description
Hey! We are Isa and Klara, two friends who study sustainability together in the beautiful city of The Hague, Netherlands. We're both in our early twenties and we are following this masters and traveling together.
Isa: I am from Mexico, but I have lived in Spain and in the Netherlands for a while. I did Urban Studies for my bachelor's and I am very interested in nature and cities and how they can co-exist harmoniously. I am actually writing a paper about it, for Brazilian and Dutch cities. I really enjoy sports, I often run, hike and bike (especially here in the Netherlands). I like to bake, cook, and try out new recipes, my favorite is sweet potato brownies :)).
Klara: I am originally from Romania, but I spent a lot of time in northern Italy. I finished an international relations degree, but I ended up doing environmental research in Portugal, which made me consider joining a sustainability master's (which I am now doing alongside Isa). I like food and cooking, and gardening and I am trying to learn ways to make the whole industry more sustainable.
We have traveled together in the past and we had the time of our lives! We are looking forward to even more fun experiences that are meaningful to us. We hope to share parts of our cultures and traditions, while also learning from our hosts. -

I am a great team-player, most of my work is done in groups of interdisciplinary students, which is where I learned to collaborate, share my views, and adapt. I am a flexible learner and I would love to get to know anything that people have to offer. I know my fair share of theory when it comes to sustainability, but I would love to see it done in practice. Growing up, I spent some time around animals at my family's ranch in Chiapas, Mexico and I think I would like to experience that again.
