Hi!

I'm Khadijah, I'm 24 years old, and this year I've travelled North Africa and South America. I'm coming to Australia (Sydney) on December 2nd, and am looking for work, especially in something photography / film / art related.

I work remotely as a book cover designer and book marketer.

I love travelling, taking photos, wild swimming, making art and film, playing guitar, and listening to music.
I'm a sociable, bubbly, easy going person, and I love meeting new people and learning about new cultures.
I've done a lot of travelling over the last few years in Europe, India, the US and Turkey. I have a lot of experience in the voluntary sector and am also a very creative person (I paint, do photography, crochet, embroider), and love to be outside (cycling, wild swimming, running, hiking).
I travelled in Mexico / the US / Europe in the Summer, and I worked at a permaculture farm in New York for 2 weeks. I've also done a workaway in an art gallery in Austria, 2 years in a row.
I'm open to doing any work, especially anything outdoors or creative.
I speak English and German and want to learn Spanish and French this year.
I'm passionate about the environment, and a lot of my art focuses on the climate crisis, meanings of home / identity, and social / political issues.

Currently working freelance for a publishing company, so I'll need to set aside a few hours a week to do that, but I'm super flexible so I can structure around the workaway!

I've done a couple of workaways - managing an art gallery, working on a permaculture farm, and gardening.

I have lots of experience working with kids - I've been an Au Pair, worked as a tutor and teacher in schools in India and Germany.
I've done volunteering in a hospital maternity ward, hospice, youth club and on a summer camp with people who have learning disabilities.
I've worked in an Art Gallery serving drinks and helping set up exhibitions.
I have experience in marketing and social media, as well as photography!

I'm always keen to learn new skills :)
