Hi!
My name is Katie, but my friends call me KC. I'm a big music enthusiast, I sing in a band, write songs, record them and occasionally dabble in guitar and piano. I'm also an animal person, I have two little furry friends of my own (a cat and a dog!).

I am currently studying software engineering, majoring in multimedia. While I’m a programmer by trade, I thrive on creativity and connection. I love meeting new people, exploring new places, and staying active - whether it's hiking, disc golf, cycling, or just spending time in nature.

Outside of my studies, I teach programming to kids and help organize summer camps. I’ve also run daytime events for children, including games and creative workshops. The youngest group I’ve worked with were around four years old (but only during day events).

I’m new to Workaway, but I’m really excited about the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to learn, help out, and meet amazing people along the way!

I speak English and Czech fluently. I know a bit of German as well.
As a software engineering student, I’ve worked in several programming languages including Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and C#.

I really enjoy working with kids and I'm used to doing so in English — I run a weekly coding club where we do everything in English.

In addition to tech and teaching, I also enjoy photography — I own a camera and have taken photos at several events. I’m also pretty crafty: I enjoy sewing and working with my hands. I’m always curious, excited to learn, and happy to help however I can.
