Description
Hello! My name is Katie and I am from the United States. I joined workaway to gain some experience with teaching English as a foreign language. I have recently received my level 5 TEFL certification and am interested and am eager and excited to start gaining some experience.
I am a hard and dedicated worker. For the past five years, I worked as a Forest Firefighter and assisted in suppressing wildfires across the United States. Through my work, I have gained valuable skills in communication, initiative, and problem-solving in stressful situations. In addition, I am easy to get along with and work very well with others.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, running, mountain biking, skiing, and anything that involves outdoor recreation. I have spent a lot of time traveling through Central and South America. I speak English and am currently learning Spanish. -

More details about your skills
I have a wide skill set. I am certainly not "an expert" in any of them, but I am great at problem solving and being independent. I have a level 5 TEFL certification but currently have no experience. I am very interested and eager to enhance my teaching skills. I also have skills in handiness, carpentry, fixing items, computers, and putting in hard work.
