Hello, I'm Jennifer! I'm an experienced solo-traveller and have explored almost 50 countries on my own, from surfing in the Galapagos Islands to hiking with mountain gorillas in Uganda. Normally I am a marketing and branding professional running my own consulting business, but my free time is often spent in a new location where I love to live like a local and immerse myself in the culture I'm visiting. I'm openminded and outgoing and appreciate understanding new people and places. In addition to my own travels I have also lived in four countries on three continents, furthering my appreciation of new cultures and people. Although I am new to Workaway, it is a community that fits perfectly with my own values and I cannot wait to get started and meet wonderful people all over the world!

Hard skills: I'm a marketing and branding professional with 15 years of experience across large international organizations as well as running my own consulting business. I have heaps of experience with social media, photography, copywriting, a little bit of website and blog building, strategy, and general marketing, so if you need help getting your business off the ground or growing your digital presence, I can probably be of assistance. I also have several years of management experience, so if you run a hostel and need leadership experience to establish a team I would be delighted to help get things going.

Soft skills: While I might be a long-time professional, working with animals is one of the main reasons I joined Workaway. I grew up with a rescue dog and can't walk down the street without petting every dog I see. I'm the go-to dogsitter for my friends and often offer to walk the dogs of friends and family when they need an extra hand. Since I can't have a pet with my current traveling lifestyle I would love to use my big heart to help animals during my upcoming adventures.

I have always been an avid athlete so love to stay active with sports or outdoor activities. Most of travel these days is centered around my new love of surfing (mostly wave but am interested in learning kite) or hiking through beautiful destinations. I have played anything from volleyball, basketball, tennis, and even played lacrosse for the Danish national team for a couple years.
