Description
I’m looking for a slower, more grounded experience while I’m in Australia. Coming from a 9 to 5 life Singapore where it is busy busy everyday, I’m looking for a slowe, q balanced lifestyle — where days feel a bit calmer and more intentional. I’m not someone who’s chasing big tourist attractions; I enjoy simple things like walks, quiet surroundings, and being part of everyday local life.
What motivates me most is connection. I genuinely enjoy meeting people and learning about different cultures, even though I can be a little shy at first. Once I settle in, I’m warm, easygoing, and enjoy being part of a shared space or community.
I’m especially interested in opportunities where I can contribute in a hands-on way. I’d love to be involved in nature-based or DIY projects — things like gardening, small building tasks, or helping out around the home. I don’t have formal experience, but I’m very willing to learn. I’ve put together quite a bit of IKEA furniture and I love watching DIY and home makeover content, so I enjoy working with my hands and figuring things out as I go.
I also really like plants, flowers, and fruits and I’d be excited to learn more about gardening or caring for outdoor spaces.
Overall, I’m hoping to exchange my time and energy for a meaningful, relaxed experience — learning new skills, meeting kind people, and appreciating a slower pace of life. -
