In short, I am a botanist, educator, and life-long learner. People describe me as warm, understanding, hardworking, creative, and sociable. Most recently, I've worked as a lecturer and researcher at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo. I am taking a break from full-time teaching to lend a hand on meaningful projects, become fluent in Spanish, experience and work to protect the natural world, and be in community with the wonderful people of Central and South America.
