Hi! I’m Henry, a 22 year-old from England currently travelling around Southeast Asia on a career break after completing my degree apprenticeship in Supply Chain Management.

I’ve spent the last few years working full-time alongside my university studies, so I’m taking this time to travel, experience different cultures and, importantly, give something back along the way. I’m particularly interested in volunteering with projects where I can get involved, meet people and make a genuine contribution rather than simply passing through.

Back home, I’ve volunteered as a swimming coach and have experience working with people of different ages and abilities. I’m also organised, reliable and used to taking responsibility through my previous work and studies. I’m happy getting stuck into practical tasks, helping with day-to-day work, teaching, working with children or supporting whatever needs doing.

I’m travelling fairly independently and have flexibility with my plans, so I’m open to different types of projects and locations across Asia. I’m keen to learn from the people I meet, share some of my own skills and hopefully leave a place a little better than I found it.

Outside of volunteering, I’m a keen swimmer and DJ, enjoy meeting new people and love exploring new places and cultures. I’m easy-going, sociable and always happy to get stuck in!

I have a varied set of practical, professional and people-focused skills that I’m happy to put to use while volunteering.

**Teaching & coaching:** Qualified swimming coach with experience coaching swimmers of different ages and abilities. Comfortable explaining things clearly, encouraging people and working patiently with others.

**People & communication:** Friendly, approachable and confident meeting new people. I’m used to working as part of a team and communicating with people from different backgrounds.

**Organisation & responsibility:** I recently completed a degree apprenticeship in Supply Chain Management, combining university study with several years of professional work. This has given me strong organisational, planning, problem-solving and time-management skills.

**Practical work:** Happy doing hands-on tasks and getting stuck into whatever needs doing — cleaning, organising, moving things, gardening, general maintenance and day-to-day help.

**English:** Native English speaker and happy to help with conversational English, particularly for children or people looking to improve their confidence.

**Digital & creative:** Comfortable with computers, social media and basic digital content. I’m also a DJ and have experience with music, events and audio equipment.

Most importantly, I’m reliable, adaptable and not afraid of hard work. I’m coming to volunteer because I want to contribute, learn new skills and experience a different side of the places I’m travelling through.
