We are an American couple in our mid-50s who took an early retirement in US and moved to Strasbourg, France in May 2025. We would like to explore the cities and countryside around France. We love nature - mountains, lakes, rivers and forests. We would like to meet local people and learn their languages and life style. I speak fluent English and German. My wife speaks fluent English and Chinese. We both have intermediate French level but need to improve listening and speaking.

We used to own a big house in US with a large garden for 25 years. We can handle basic maintenance and repairs. We can help all tasks in the garden. Before retirement, both of us worked in finance and accounting for corporations.

We have two children who are both going to universities in US. I like playing tennis and reading books. My wife likes cooking and gardening. We have travelled to many countries in Asia, North America and Europe.
