Description
Hello! We are Martina and Armando, a couple originally from southern Italy, currently based in Berlin.
We both love being in touch with nature, animals and people. We both have some degree of experience in gardening, general maintenance, permaculture and living off the grid, cumulated mostly through past volunteering projects. We consider ourselves easygoing and with a big adaptation spirit. We love the idea of volunteering because it is for us a great way to connect with people and get different prospective on things. Furthermore, we also would love to build our own eco-community where to live and raise our kids in respect and harmony with nature. We are therefore on the lookout for tips and inspiration.
We consider ourselves spiritual. We practice yoga and meditation on a regular basis and eat delicious veggie meals.
Martina is a creative person, she is a big fan of art, music and cinema. She loves sewing and has an incredible ability with children.
She used to work as a exhibition curator at a contemporary art center in Italy but has decided, for now, to dedicate herself to working with children.
She has lived in Greece for some months, where she has worked for an NGO to provide social integration and support to refugees.
Armando is a loving person who loves sharing and caring. He is very good at drawing and loves to travel the world discovering new cultures and talking to everyone (even trees).
He has studied sociology, lived in England, Australia and Germany. He was working as a software engineer but has last year decided to drop his carrier to pursue his best self.
We are looking forward to getting to know you and to help each other out for a little while!

More details about your skills
We come from a cooking-heavy culture, therefore we love preparing delicious veggie, natural and healthy meals. We have been recently experimenting with fermentation, brewing, bread and soap making. Our dream is to get to self-produce most of our food one day.
Armando has worked as a software engineer in the past. He has decided to set that career aside but is always open to discuss the development of interest projects.
Martina has studied and worked in art in the past and could contribute to the creation of art projects or exhibitions.
We find gardening extremely calming and meditative. We have done a bit of it in the past, have loved it and would love to keep on doing it in the future projects.
Permaculture and bio-construction are also areas in which we do not have much experience with and would love to discover.

Good luck with your sailing trip around the world, Arno and see you around!
First of all, it was very nice of them to invite and have me over for Christmas. After that I went to Woodford Folk festival (an amazing event that takes place only 30mins away from the farm) and then back for a couple of weeks. During my volunteering time the main tasks have been: cleaning/… read more
