Hi! We’re Giulia and Elena, two best friends from Italy who enjoy travelling together and solo. We bring out the best in each other and are always excited to connect with new people, explore new ways of living, and contribute wherever we go.

We traveled to Portugal with Workaway in July and right now we're planning to travel separately through Spain (Elena) and Italy (Giulia).

Our ideal Workaway experience includes gardening, cooking, helping with pets, DIY or creative tasks, spending time with children, or sharing our Italian language and culture. We’re also very interested in Ayurvedic and natural practices, meditation, and sustainable living.

I study Economics, Politics, and Social Sciences in Bologna. I spent the last year solo travelling across Australia, where I worked in hospitality and discovered how much I value learning from different ways of living.
I love cooking simple plant-based dishes, and I’m always curious to learn new recipes from other cultures. I’m quite creative and enjoy decorating or small DIY projects. I’m calm, adaptable, and I love being outdoors – I practice yoga, Muay Thai, and enjoy hiking, snorkeling, and skiing.

I live in Venice, where I study Art History, which is one of my greatest passions along with photography, sewing and painting.
I also love to cook and bake – lately I have been experimenting with sourdough - and creating in general . I throughly enjoy spending time in nature and discovering new places and traditions. I grew up with two dogs and two cats, so I'm super comfortable with animals and I love spending time with them.
I am interested in Ayurvedic practices and natural remedies.
I have worked in hospitality, food service and childcare.

We both live on our own, so we’re used to cleaning, housework, and taking initiative. We’re also happy to work independently but love learning through guidance and shared knowledge.
We speak Italian and English fluently, and we know a little German. We’re curious, respectful, sociable – and always up for a chat or a spontaneous adventure.

We have experience in cooking and baking (including plant-based meals and traditional Italian recipes), DIY and creative decoration projects, and childcare through au pair work, scouts, and past jobs. We're very comfortable with animals, having grown up with pets, and we’re used to managing cleaning and household tasks independently. Our years in scouts taught us teamwork, responsibility, and practical skills like knot tying and outdoor cooking. We're active and have good physical endurance.
